Stay away from this class. The midterm and final are 10 questions that ask about tiny details out of the 100 slide power points. If you mess up only a few questions you will get a bad mark. He is a good guy, but the testing system he uses is garbage.

Dan is funny and quite nice for the most part, but when it comes to his classes... I would NOT recommend taking them. Asks too specific of questions, gives "hints" that are never tested on, and forgets what he tells you to know to begin with. If you want good marks, do not take this class. Class average was always low.

He did not care to help when questions were asked, and his exams are 10 questions. He gives hints to what will be on the exam, and none of those "hints" are on it. He asks the smallest undetailed questions which are worth 10% of your grade. I am a scholarship student and struggled in this class. I'm in Kine and found phys & anat pointless from him

You don't get tired of his classes, you know if you do attend class the hour goes by really fast. Misterms are easy 10 questions. Materials are interesting. I would advice to take this class if you like high school Biology. Human Biology is a review of High School material. Nothing too new and hard.

The most amazing teacher I ever had at Acadia. If you hate bio, not for long with Toews as your teacher. He is so passionate about his work that you cant help but be either. He loves a student to teach him something, so aim to impress and he will never forget you! Vert Phys changed my career choice and my life. Its because of him! Get him a frog!
