Very laid back professor. Has one exam with a review sheet, one paper, a short and easy oral presentation, and a creative project. Attendance is mandatory and is the biggest part of your grade. If you study the review sheet you'll get an easy A. She is very caring and passionate about her class. 1 very short homework reflection per week. Easy A

After a semester at Hunter College, I am quite nostalgic thinking of Binghamton U and Prof. Stewart. She is, overall and without a doubt, the BEST professor I have ever had. TAKE HER CLASS, particularly, Dante and Love, Science and Magic in Middle Ages....she is upbeat and encourages students to excel.

Dana is fantastic very easy to talk to both in class and out of class. Some of the readings are hard to follow, but, if you go to class she will go over everything that will be on both the midterm and final. I took this course as a freshman and it was a great introduction to what a literature class should be like.

Professor Stewart is an amazing person. Before I was in her Dante class, I found the Inferno to be boring. Afterwards, I love it! She taught me a lot about medieval Italian politics, and the medieval worldview in general. Plus, unlike a lot of other profs, she appreciates creativity. All in all, AWESOME.

This is a tough class to take if you are not a medieval studies or Italian major. I was an undergrad taking this as an elective, and at times I felt lost. Stewart is incredibly nice though, and you can't even get mad at her for the mind-boggling time she takes to return the midterm.

she's great. Prof. Stewart is really nice and easy to talk to, however returning tests isn't her strong suit. Test seemed very easy (however still haven't gotten it back). She's a really nice person.

She is a really nice lady and has a real passion for what she teaches. She is always more than helpfull and very understanding. However, one problem I had was than it took her almost a month to return our midterms (well past the W deadline). It is now almost mid-November & I don't have a grade.
