Comment:

Amazing accounting professor. Take her if you can! She is clear with her expectations and fair with her grading. No homework and no extra credit. 3 midterms and one final, lowest midterm is dropped. She lets you have a cheat sheet for every test. Amazing and clear lectures. Very funny and witty. Just read the book and ask questions.

Teacher is not invested in this class. She says "exactly" what's going to be on the test and unfortunately, the actual test is totally different. One midterm, one project, one final. Allows cheat sheet but its totally useless since she tells you one thing and puts something else on the test. Avoid taking her.

It could have been worse. My recommendation, go to class and figure out what she wants (which she will say, but won't explain very well) and then get to LAC for group tutoring, that is how I passed. She isn't responsive to emails, canceled class and didn't tell us once, and its hard to work things out with her if you're in DSS.

HORRIBLE TEACHER EMAILED HER 3 TIMES THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER AND NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. LASS WAS SET FOR 4 HRS AND SHE WOULD RUSH TO FINISH BY 730 WHICH IS GOOD BUT DOWNSIDE WENT TO FAST WITH THE MATERIAL TEST WERE HARD!!! SHE WAS RUDE UNLESS YOU WERE THE SMART ONE OF THE CLASS.NEVER AT HER OFFICE HRS AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE DRIVE

For CSULB students, this is not the proper accounting teacher that you want to choose ! The test are totally different as what she told us to focused on.She DOES NOT explain problems at all, which you paid tuition to study by urself! When students asked a question, she always questioning them back with weird tones. Bad Teacher I've ever seen.

She is a CPA, and teaches at Glendale Community College. Therefore, her care for each particular class is low. Took 2 months to post grade for the first midterm. Not friendly, has a bad attitude. Attendance not mandatory. Rely on book. No Homework, 4 test, 1 final. Drops lowest except final. Study hard if you want to pass.

8am class. Couldn't wake up slept in and learned on my own by reading textbook-REALLY EASY to understand Practice journal entries, know what goes in CR/DR by heart. Got an A straight scale. A+++ with the curve. Showed up mainly for exam dates only. Gotta learn fast if you want to study the day b/4 the test like I did. Gives some hints day b/4 test.

Take this class with her in the summer! 2 homeworks, 2 Midterms, 1 easy group project. Kept lectures fairly short... TESTS WERE HARD! But she curves at the end. Bombed both midterms but ended up with a B! Recommend if you hate accounting!

Her lectures seem really easy but she steps it up for her tests. I suggest not buying the book and getting the study guide instead. The book is a waist of money. The study guide however is much more helpful especially when it comes to making a page of notes which she lets you use on the test.I did well in this class but i know most people didn't.

Horrible teacher. Does not care about students; does not lecture clearly on material. No one will ask ?s b/c she is intimidating.Says certain things will be on the test, but puts other things she didn't even go over. allows cheat sheet, but the class ave. still 60%. her tests are.. H-A-R-D. i study, come to class everyday, take good notes, but she puts in questions she didn't even go over in class. So, I end up with a crappy grade on the tests. If you actually want to learn accounting material, i do not recommend her. Plus, she is intimidating and it's hard to communicate with her.

Let me just start out with she is SCARY! I think everyone in my class was hesitant to ask questions because she is not helpful at all. For me, the tests were okay but the average for all the tests were D's. I had the class once a week and we never stayed past an hour and a half which was nice. I suggest a different teacher who is more helpful.

I liked her class! i hated accounting but not after taking her class, lectures are pretty straight forward and goes through examples with you. Test are pretty fair obviously need to study, and there is a curve.

If you need to pass Accounting 201, take Gentile. There's no assigned homework; just suggested problems. She drops one exam. She gives you a cheat sheet for every test. There's also a curve. She gave a practice final and if we were happy with our grade after the practice final, we didn't have to take the real final.

If you actually want to learn accounting, do not take Gentile. She really does not care about her students. She's always at least 5 minutes late. She cancels class last minute. She cancelled class like 5 times when i had her. Don't waste your time. Take another professor.

i was an accounting major but after taking her class i changed my major. the class is not hard, it is just confusing because there is too much to know. there is homework which doesnot have to be turned in. there are 4 test and the lowest one is dropped. your grade is basically based on test so you must be a great test taker.

I'm not sure what curve these people are talking about, but from what I know, there's no curve!! She's not hard, but sometimes it's hard to keep up with her on the lectures. Make sure to read... read, read, read!! Definitely helps to have study groups. Tests aren't so hard because you OBVIOUSLY have to study. I recommend her.
