Explains material so well, and grading emphasis is mainly on quizzes and exams. There's a moderate amount of hw, always reading based. Each assignment can range from 5-15 questions. Also gives quizzes based on reading so don't forget it! Provides many opportunities for makeup work on hw, quizzes, and exams.

Offers test corrections for full credit. I don't need to say any more but I will, he sweats like an ice cold soda can but he is very funny and is a good teacher. Class should be an easy A if you apply yourself and make up all the test corrections.

If you can take the class with Hatten, do it. He is a great teacher and gives you the opportunity to make up any work including tests. You can retake any problem from any test as many times as you want. He really cares if you learn the material.

One of my favorite teachers ever. Lectures are super easy to understand as he "translates" Electricity and Magnetism into layman's English. Always ready to help. Tests are straightforward and "easy" because you can make up missed questions for full credit. Consistently surprised at how nice it is to be in physics class with Hatten.

Great professor, always there for you when you need him. If unsure of how to do a problem he will drop whatever hes doing to help you. By far one of my favorite professors at WNE. Get him if you can he really knows his material and can easily convey it to students.

Honestly, definition of a great professor. High rating for easiness not because the teacher is a push over... because you are given the opportunity to succeed no matter how smart you are as long as you try. if you give this class effort you can earn an in what is a pretty hard freshman level course. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

So far, Dr. Hatten is easily my favorite professor. He is very clear and knowledgeable on the subjects he teaches, and is more than willing to give help to students who need it. His class is easy, but not in the "be lazy and get a good grade" way. Rather, he actually makes it easy to understand the material.

Easily the best physics teacher at WNE. He knows his stuff for sure and he is a teacher with personality as well. Class isn't boring and his whole "retake similar test quesitons" for points method is amazing. It made me extremely well prepared for the final because I was essentially reviewing and perfecting the test q's all semester.

Great guy, hard class. Let's you retake the exams, but if you don't do well the first time, you have a lot of work to do to catch up. Homework is very confusing; doesn't relate to lectures at all. If you're gonna work hard, take the class. If not, don't bother.

Great guy. One of best teachers Ive ever had. he made it interesting. No HW. Short quizzes online once in a while. Exams were open book in class. Everyday was a lab but they were always short (done within an hour). Doesn't lecture, all learning is hands on. Highly recommend you take him.

I really didnt think Hatten was all he was cracked up to be. You can retake the tests which is HUGE, but his homework doesnt relate anything to the material taught in class, and it counts for a lot. He grazes over the subject matter and teaches like hes showing off how smart he is because he can do big integrals. You will def. do well as long as yo

Take ANY class that he teaches! He is a very nice guy, is always around for office hours, exams are VERY easy, takes 90% of the questions from quizzes, which you are allowed to use anyway
