RIP. Dr. Haworth was a good professor that took time out of his day to do anything to help students who put forth effort. The stories in class made class interesting and fun, along with his funny remarks about the students. Dr. Haworth will be missed by all of his students. RIP Dr. Haworth RIP.

Retired after the Fall '08 Semester but is still on staff for Discussions. Inventor of Latex Paint. Handwriting is atrocious, has some interesting stories to give on some of the content though. While Chem 1 is almost verbatim a review of any HS chemistry, his tests were challenging.

This professor is good. Although you cant really read his handwritting. Sit in the front. Unfortunately, I dont think he'll be teaching anymore but he might have some discussion sections.

Writes Really Fast. Mumbles. Sortive looks like he's writing in another language. Can't ask quesions in class. He can't really hear all that well. But... on a brighter note.... he's a really nice guy with a really nice curve. and oh yea... if you REALLY understand how to do the assigned book/discussion problems.. you will be fine.

Dr. Haworth is an excellent teacher who has taught at marquette for 50 years, he is very knowledgeable and is willing to meet students who are having trouble. The only downfall is that his writing is very hard to understand, and he tends to be incomprehensible during lectures. I learned more in his class than I have in any other class.

his handwriting is hard to read, but if you read the textbook it's easier to understand what he's talking about. he uses a lot of problem examples during class which is helpful. sometimes he teaches information in lecture that cannot be found in the book, so although attendance isn't required, it's beneficial.

Haworth knows his stuff, but you've got to work if you want a good grade. Tests are difficult but there isn't any pointless homework like in other Chem classes. I'd recommend him.

Multiple choice are harder than expected, so the final exam is tricky. Very nice guy but talks way too much. Take him if you love a challenge, you love math, and you want to learn more than what is needed.

Haworth makes really funny comments throughout class, and his lectures are not unbearable. He makes it as interesting as it can be. His exams are hard, but if you study enough you will do fine due to the huge curve. There is no homework, unlike most of the other chem profs. Easy to get a B, not so easy to get an A. Better than most others!

His writing on the board is like reading hyroglyphics. It's impossible to read so you have to keep up with what he's saying. A lot of times his notes are confusing. The tests are hard, but there is a huge curve. He's a really nice man and loves chemistry. As far as Chem goes, he's not too bad.

Moderately hard class, but he is willing to help you out. Exams were difficult, but with ridiculous curves. Final Exam ws super easy and short (only 34-39 multiple choice questions, with 5 being extra credit).

Dr. Haworth is a good professor for the most part. The notes he gives are sometimes pointless - kind of disjointed (you can learn more from the book). BUT - he gives LOTS of example problems in class. If you can do the examples problems in class and the suggested problems from the book, you can do well on his challenging exams.
