Kaufman is my favorite professor! I was not excited for philosophy but he made it fun! His lectures are hilarious, and you get out early almost every class. Only grades are your 5 exams, which are all online, and open note. He gives you about a week to do them and all the answers are in your notes. Super chill guy, but you do have to go to class

He was definitely my favorite professor of the semester. It's not a hard class at all if you attend lecture and take notes, as his tests are take home open note tests. At times the content can be confusing, but he's always willing to help, I'm not a Philosophy major, but I'm taking a class that he teaches next semester just because he's so awesome.

He was great. It's easy to get a good grade if you show up and take notes on his lectures. The entire grade is based on tests but they're take home open note tests. He lectures about is exactly what's going to be on the test. I'm not a philosophy major and have no interest in philosophy but he made the class interesting.

I don't always agree with some of what he says, but it's obvious that he cares about his students and wants them to do well. Wants you to understand the material and is dedicated to helping you learn it if you are having trouble. Drops your lowest test score, so your grade is based on 4 tests. They are not hard if you attend class regularly.

Don't buy any of the books if you plan on actually going to class. I don't understand some people in college. My class had about 40 kids in it but only 15 showed up everyday. Class was very easy and Kaufman is a great professor. His sense of humor is a little wack and he wears Polo everyday for some reason but just go to class and its an easy A

Super fun and spunky! Go to class and take notes because that is what the tests are over. There is an open Q&A day then the test is take home over blackboard! There is literally no way to fail if you actually go and put pen to paper! Awesome guy! Only graded by the tests and no final!

Dr. Kaufman's aesthetics class was great. I am a huge philosophy buff and he definitely knows what he's talking about. I didn't read too much of the material until the tests, which there are only 3 and they're all take-home. Attendance isn't mandatory but you will not pass if you miss a lot. Overall this class was very interesting and enjoyable.

Mr. Kauffman is awesome, he really helps to make college enjoyable. He is hilarious and make lectures interesting and worth going to. Test are open note, and the "final" is the last test it's not comprehensive. There is not reason not to come to class, its interesting and your notes are what your test depend on. So if you take notes you'll do great

He is such a passionate professor, it makes the lectures amazing! Be sure to take notes, the exams are take home and open note, the better your notes, the better you'll do. Although he doesn't have an attendance policy, I highly recommend regular attending because you will get behind if you miss. I have learned so much in this class!

Kaufman makes the tough reading material really easy to understand and his lectures are fun. You have to write a paper over every article you read, though, so don't let yourself get behind. Kaufman is really lenient on due dates though and he gives great feedback if you get a bad grade on them.

Dr. Kaufman is an amazing instructor! He is very funny, is well-liked by students, and is willing to work with you to make sure you succeed in class. That being said, the material for this class is hard, so be sure to read the material and ask questions if you don't understand it. There is no textbook for the course and only 3 tests.

I loved this class. The material is hard, but he explains it very well. He gives study guides that are word for word from the rest. He can be picky about what answers he'll accept on his tests. If you ask for help, he'll give it. The lecture wasn't boring- he's super funny and laid back. Easy A.

Dr. Kaufman was very interesting to listen to. The class is all lecture and rarely interactive, but he keeps it interesting. He gives examples for each case that are easy to remember and gives out the study guide answers the class before the tests. You don't even have to do the readings, just show up and this is an easy A.
