Didnt pay attention in class but if youre actually interested in history hes a really smart guy. I took the class because I needed a core for senior year and his was called movies. In retrospect Id still choose his class it really wasnt bad. Also he speaks for the UN and is an important guy so if youre a diplo major hes a good person to get to know

Dr. Leab is a very clear communicator. His test can be tricky so take your time. Its important to take side notes along with the pwrpnt slides. Make sure to do the reading! (or at least skim) :-D

Prof. Leab is a real funny guy if you really hear what he says. He also can be very boring too. If you want a guaranteed B in a class especially if you don't want to work, take this class. It is almost impossible to get an A is his class but I did not work at all in the class and I received a B.

I had Dr. Leab at Seton Hall from 1996 to 1999 and he was the best professor I have ever had. It probably did not hurt that I was a history major and fascinated with history and film. Ten years later I look back at his classes and his senior seminar class and know they were the best classes I ever had. You are lucky to have him

He reads his notes and only occasionally speaks without them, even though he's a world-class expert in his field. He fell asleep twice in the middle of his lecture. He doesn't engage the class in discussion very often. His tests are tough but they don't count very much toward your final grade. Make sure he approves your paper before you write it.

He is the wealthiest guy on campus. He only teaches to keep himself busy because he cant spend his millions. He is a good teacher and will teach you to do research and write a real thesis paper. I took him for every class he teaches and failed the midterm everytime because I didnt read. I managed to get an A because the final paper counts the most.

He's eccentric, funny. Tends to jump from one topic to another in his lectures. If you take notes in class, read some of the readings, write a well-thought out paper, and not BS the midterm you'll pass. Don't come in late or hand in HW/papers late. I got an A in his class.

He's a pretty funny guy. He jumps around in the lecture a lot though and sometimes leaves sentences unfinished. You really don't have to do the assigned reading. He tends to pick on certain people throughout the whole semester so don't sit in the front if you mind this. Keep midterm answers to the point. Be specific in the essay. Don't be late.

I was intimidated by the number of books on the syllabus but Dr. Leab is a wealth of information, he assigns the readings to provide a better understanding. Yes he is a bit eccentric and may come across as arrogant to some people but he has every right to be he's well educated, wealthy and well traveled with alot to offer students! A+ guy!

Great Senior Seminar Professor. Pretty much handed in a works cited page, rough draft of paper, and final draft. We had one presentation, and we took trips to the library and to NY once. He's extremely straightforward. May be a bit egotistical, but not as harsh as other professors at shu.

If you tihnk this man is hard, you should not be in college. Very informative and really interested in the topic. Some classes get long, but if you talk to him after class, you will instantly like the class more. My favorite prof at SHU.
