Comment:

Quinn was amazing. He has a dry sense of humor but is very funny. He definitely is intelligent and knows what he's talking about. His Irish accent also keeps things interesting. However, talking to other people in the class, he tended to pick favorites (I was one, so this might be biased) but if you participate and show up to class, it's not hard.

What everyone writes about him is true!! He is arrogant and insults students in class. This is clearly a reflection of his own inadequate feelings. He is unprepared for class and is all over the place with his lecture. News flash: the emperor has no clothes!!! He should get some lucky charms.

Quinn knows EVERYTHING. No exaggeration. Don't take his classes if you don't want to work. He's tough, but usually fair. It sometimes feels like he likes to watch lesser people scream and wants people to fear him, but he's so intelligent and witty you can forgive him for it. Work hard, participate, and you'll be ok.

It's been years but I can still hear that voice. Good story teller with a knack for keeping his audience interested. A wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humor (It's there--you just have to be smart enough to get it). I miss those days.

I might be in the minority of the people who enjoyed dr. quinn and this class, but I thought he was a great professor. Articulate and well-prepared, and always equipped with a joke (or jab). Take him but be prepared to work!

I don't know why showing up to class helps you. All you have is two papers and a final exam and the lectures don't help you with anything. Writing a nine page paper on a thing with little resources is a very unreasonable demand.

Professor Quinn definitly knows he is awesome and acts like it but since he is among the smartest people alive you can't really blame him for that. If I went to Oxford I would talk about it all the time too. He seems to really like talking to students outside of class and is really nice one-to-one so don't be scared of him!

Excellent lecturer with a wealth of knowledge on Anglo-Irish history. If you appreciate history than you will enjoy Quinn's class, however you will have to work for your grades. He isn't as harsh on the papers as you might expect but don't expect an easy A. Just talk to him after class and show him some respect/interest and he'll take care of you.

Professor Quinn is very well read and can give a good history lecture, but can be dull and doesnt seem to appreciate creativity. He can also be a bit rude if someone says something ridiculous. Also, he isnt very helpful or sociable. But really, he isnt as bad as people make him out to be. His eyebrows, however, are worse than you might have heard.

He's an entertaining professor, very witty, but then again, everything sounds better in that Irish accent. Very tough grader, but full of knowledge. Take him if you like to read, and don't expect an A.
