I really looked forward to attending his classes--and I took it in the evening during the summer. Really knowledgeable, entertaining, and helpful professor. His Powerpoint slides covered a lot, and the material was pretty interesting. He gave 3 MC tests and EC opportunities. Definitely recommend taking him!

ok so his class seems so easy and his powerpoints are easy to understand, but when it comes to tests PREPARE yourself because they are impossible!! he makes them very very confussing. Attendance is MANDATORY for your own benefit because missing his lectures leaves you far behind

The best professor, I ever had in Econ.His exams are hard but he curves like crazy. If you pay attention to his stuff, trust me you will pass the course. I got an A+ in this class, unbelievable.

He's a nice guy, and his lectures were always interesting. I did not do very well in his class. There were only 3 exams. I would study for hours for the exams, but I guess I am just not cut out for Econ.

I never even bought the text book. His notes and readings off his website are all that you need to pass. Just make sure to go to class and you will do fine. Expect to have to study for tests because this is after all a college course. Tests are tough but not impossible. Overall, very interesting professor!

I never opened my textbook-- you MUST go to his lectures to do well on his exams. He is helpful if you ask questions, and you even get extra credit for him. Tests are super hard but he curves like crazy. His lectures are pretty interesting, so pay attention in class, take notes, and you'll be okay.

Sure all he does is read off the slides, but you MUST attend if you want an A -- he gives very important extra info during lectures. Tests are INSANELY hard (curves were: 1st test-2%, 2nd test-14%, final-18%). Very interesting, laid back class, just really difficult exams. Don't bother reading the book -- I never did and ended up with an A+.

Lin tries his best to make everything clear. Don't buy the textbook, everything comes from the slides. I got a C- the 1st time and a B+ the 2nd time I took the class. Study from old exams, read the slides, and go to class and you'll do fine. Gives extra credit for asking questions.

All he does is go over slides every class, I attended MAYBE 8 classes. All I did was before a test, teach myself the information on the slides, memorize as best as I could, I ended up with a C-. It's easy to get extra credit which helps you out on the test, and tests are curved. However, the tests are NOT easy.

His lectures are interesting, his EXAMS are very HARD, he curves but NOT like Elmer Holt, for Ex: in this class he might curve you 3-6 on your exam in ELMER HOLTS class a 77 is an A if i were you take Elmer Holt Dan Lin does offer credit questions in lecture to people who raise their hand but wit his feedback to them it could be embarrasing

He is a really good teacher. He curves all exams and there are only three! His lectures are really interesting and his corny jokes are funny. I loved his class. I would recommend him to anyone anyday. He is awesome!
