A true asset to the college. Professor Mahoney is a brilliant mind providing access to all of politics, and yet very comical throughout. He doesn't slam material upon you, you get out his class what you put in. He has eased up on grading, easy to get a B, yet still challenging to get an A. My Favorite professor at Assumption.

Excellent teacher. He is the Einstein of politics and history. If love political science you will really enjoy him. You can tell which way he leans but put you views aside if they differ and take this professor. He is VERY smart and a credit to the college. I am glad he is the Political Science chair... sorry Sorenson, lol

Dr. Mahoney is a Great teacher. He knows a lot about a lot. Can quote so many people off the top off his head. I thought a pretty easy grader. Only 3 five to eight page papers assigned. Material could be boring but still interseting overall. I am not poly sci major... WILL take his class again.

i have had him a number of times. depends on what the class is about. with ideology and religion, the class was pretty good and i learned a lot. with political economy, though, that class was boring. hitting your head against the wall may have been better. overall he is kinda boring, and he grades hard, but a good guy.

Although I disagree with almost all of his opinions, he's a very interesting and engaging professor. He's very conservative and makes that well known. Take him and Shultz in the same semester just to see the two polar opposites. Great guy too.

I really like Prof. Mahoney. He's smart,articulate,and fair-minded and I learned a ton in his Senior Seminar. He was a refreshing antidote to the political correctness that is all around us at Assumption College. And he did a great job of showing the contemporary relevance of Tocqueville.
