Very, very nice guy. He cares about his students doing well. Only 2 tests, a project and a cumulative final. Very easy if you study the review guide he gives you. He made boring lectures funny and I enjoyed taking a class with him.

Patrone is very funny and extremely passionate about his teachings. You will find him cracking jokes and throwing chairs to make a point. There is no textbook so going to lecture and TAKING NOTES is MANDATORY or you will not pass! Study guides are very helpful for the 4 tests you take. There are readings that you dont even have to read. HE CARES!

whole class is lecture and three tests and a final, only grades are these tests, there were readings but you didn't have to read them, only notes you take, was worried about tests but they ended up being ok if you payed attention in class, doesn't take attendance but you won't understand anything if you never go, good class if you like philosophy

Very passionate professor and gives a hundred oppurtubuties to pass. This is a difficult class though. Need to study material as much as possible not just the day before exam. 3 exams, essay homework. Fair grader. Cares about his students

Professor Patrone is an extremely helpful professor. The material is similar to college algebra since there is a lot of proofs and truth tables but he makes his exams take home and offered office hours to aid with the exam. He is funny and just wants to help students pass and not struggle. Highly recommend if you like math and need an easy A.

Best Professor I have had at SUNY Oneonta. You have to show up to class and take notes. His lectures are awesome. For most tests he gives you a topic sheet that will be exactly like the test questions. He really makes you think and challenges you (in a good way) If you are taking it for an easy A or because you like phil you will not be let down.

Best Professor I've ever had, really interesting, funny, and knows how to make students understand the material. There's one term paper, he gives study guides before each test that include questions that will, word for word, be on the test. So go to class, pay attention, write the paper, and study the review sheets, you should get an A.

As for not enjoying philosophy as a subject, he was interesting guy. Supposed to have 4 main tests but only had 3, so counted highest test grade twice. Then the final. some reading, but must pay attention during lecture or you wont get the info you need. Nice, funny guy that made the boring concepts not so bad.

Patrone is one of the best professors at Oneonta. I would recommend him to anyone. Take all the courses that you can with him. His tests may be a little hard, but he makes himself available for help. An all around great guy. Ive learned more in his classes than any other. Patrone is a MUST take. Always good for a laugh and makes the material fun

Prof is very knowledgeable of Business Ethics and all philosophy in general. He utilizes real-world examples as part of his lecture and assignments - no theory here. I recommend taking this 100-level course in senior year to apply all of the philosophy you have learned.

Dr. Patrone was one of my favorite professors of the semester. I have never taken or been interested in philosophy but I would definitely take another class with him if I had the chance. He made very complex topics simple and his lectures are fun to listen to and participate in. He most likely gives study guides for all the tests and the finals.

His lectures were very interesting and made dull, hard material easy to understand. Gave out study guides and just recycled questions from them onto the exams. Had two group projects but pretty easy. As long as you take notes and do the study guide questions you'll do great.

I had no interest in Ethics and this turned out to be one of my favorite classes. Patrone is an amazing professor, definitely one of the best here. I left this class wishing I had time to minor in Philtake more classes with him. Going to classpaying attention is essential, he is very helpful and glad to help if you're willing to ask questions.

Great professor. He's funny and engaging, even when the material sucks. It's a tough class for some, but for the logically-inclined, it's a pretty easy class. His tests are fairly easy. Attendance is highly recommended.

Great Professor. Great guy. Never took a philosophy class before his Ethics class, and I finished the class with an A. He is my favorite professor. He's a really funny guy and makes boring material interesting. You NEED to go to class and pay attention to get a good grade. Participation matters. Tests are easy and he reviews beforehand.
