Daniel is a fairly decent professor but he is teaching a painfully dry course. MIT 2000 is a history course disguised as MIT, so boredom will come. The course readings weren't extremely interesting and the lectures are skip-able since he puts all slides online. Decent professor, bad course overall.

Course was pretty boring but not hard content. It is a straight up history course so be prepared. Midterm was brutal but final was not too bad. Lectures we pretty boring but not hard to follow. Barely used the textbook. Overall, not a terrible course but not a MIT course to be super excited about.

Robinson is actually a terrific and knowledgeable professor. i have to admit that i was bored when i took his mit2000 class but after taking his advertising class i realize how great he is. really funny and interesting guy, he's clearly passionate about his material. dont judge him based on mit2000 which tends to be a bit vague and dry.

EXTREMELY boring teacher and on top of that this course is boring. however, very easy to do well on his exams! as long as you study from your lectures you will be fine on most of the exam. however, the matching and multiple choice also comes from the text book, so pay close attention to readings.

terrible prof. relies on powerpoint presentations and runs through the material really fast in his ridiculously dull voice. doesnt allow laptops so you cant keep up with the material no matter what. also will not help you whatsoever if you need it. ruined MIT for me.

awful, just Awful. doesn't differentiate what is important versus what is not. makes you link to the connections yourself by spending extra time going through the readings constantly. very annoyed. gets mad for use of laptops in class, if i didn't have my laptop i would fall asleep and get kicked out/in trouble that way.

Worst class and prof ever! Rediculously hard midterm and exam along with a totally random essay on a horrible novel. He ruined my second year in MIT. One time he cracked a joke that made me laugh. It had something to do with comparing scribes with kinkos. ha!

I found his course to be a bit of a sleeper. It was more so him than the content itself. He could use a little more enthusiasm when lecturing about telephones. And talking about Eminem seemed somewhat odd in whatever the connection was that he tried to make.

close your eyes and it will sound like Tom Hanks is teaching your lecture, and as exciting as that sounds, i can assure you that watching paint dry is more exciting than sitting threw one of his lectures. i would rather be trapped in a cage for a month drinking my own **** than sit through another one of his lectures. I'm sorry - this prof is terrible! Incredibly boring and unapproachable. Relies too heavily on powerpoint instead of intellect.. Even when he tries to add in something interesting things go horribly awry (eminem clips, etc.. embarrassing even to remember)got to the point where I would rather rip my hair out, watch paint dry, than attend class.
