A great teacher if you are already perfect in French. She is a tough grader, but won't explain what your issues are. She won't teach you anything grammar wise, so make sure you find a good study group. She also talks bad about students, and then when asked about it, denies it all. She is degrading. She gives good grades on oral presentations.

Don't take Rodamar; she doesn't remember anyones name, she will rush through grammar so that she can talk about her personal life, won't have time to talk after class, will actually say that"you need to go back to beginning french 1" if you do not understand something, and she will make you feel so discouraged about learning french. Please avoid!

I took her for Advanced French I and it was not only the worst French class I've ever taken, but she is the worst French professor I've ever had. She spoke in English 75% of the time, remembered nobody's name (even though there were only about 12 people in the class) and made a student cry.

She often would take to yelling at students in class for not understanding grammer or the culture readings that we did. Is incredibly unorganized, would forget students name (even though my class had 10), and would not show up to office hours. She would also talk about her personal life too much. We also never spoke in class. Bad professor overall.

Mme. Rodamar is quite the character. She speaks very quickly, so be ready to keep up. She is extremely passionate about what she does, so show that you're interested and she will like you. She does not always show up to office hours and is rather unorganized. However, if you make an effort, you'll get an A.

Dr. Rodamar is an amazing person. She is not the most organized professor, nor does she always show up to office hours, but I gave her 4 stars because she genuinely cares about her students. To be fair, she doesn't explain a lot in class, but if you stay after, she'll be more than willing to help. Compared to the other options at AU, she's great.

I loved my class with Mrs. Rodamar. She speaks quickly and has a heavy French accent; pay attention and do the work and you'll be alright. Most people didn't do the work because they dismissed her as too hard to understand or too quick of a teacher, but do the work and you'll be fine. Also, she's an amazing person, just ask her about her life!

She incredibly sweet. Because she is a native speaker, her english is sometimes hard to understand which can be a struggle when it comes to clarity. On the other hand, her French is perfect and listening to her helped enormously with my pronunciation skills. Tests are standard; if you skim the chapter beforehand & listen in class you'll get the A.

Professor Rodamar is not very clear on the lesson plan. In addition, she is not clear on explaining and helping the students understand french. She teaches too quickly . Most of the class dropped out

I believe she's nice woman but not as a teacher. every quiz more than half of a class failed and dropped out of class. and in the last quiz I took before drop out every single student got an F on the quiz. it is French elementary but her quiz is harder than French intermediate.

Dr.Rodamar loves French literature. She works very hard to share her love for it with her classes. I've taken three classes with her. She seems to get better with each class. For the last class, she gave us very interesting assignments for grammar in class, and she always assigns reading and essays that are interesting. Her French is gorgeous too!

Professeur Rodamar is passionate about French. She is truly well-informed and loves imparting what she knows to her students. She presents the material in a traditional lecture. It's up to the students to do their homework and to follow, or not. If you're passionate about the work and if you love hearing perfect French, take her course! I love it.

I have taken 5 different classes with her and have loved every one. Professor Rodamar is very passionate about what she teaches and it is obvious that she loves what she does which is rare to find in a teacher. She's extremely intelligent and kind. I recommend taking as many classes with her as you can!

Prof. Rodamar was a bit hard to follow at first (because she talks so quickly and even her English is heavily accented), but that forced me to work harder. Her native fluency causes her not to understand what it's like to be learning French, but if you focus, do the reading and use the workbook and audio exercises, it's not hard to keep up.

WARNING! She is friendly but has a tendency to digress into irrelevant topics. She expects a lot out of her students and isn't readily available to help. She is a bit of a snob and is really critical, but if you are confident in your French abilities then should be fine although if you can avoid her I would advise it.

Soemtimes confusing and can get off topic but a very sweet lady. Is helpful outside of class. Demands a lot but that is to be expected from a college level language class. Fairly easy grader and tests are pretty standard. Good intro to French

Horrible. Expected level one students to know advance french. Class time not used effectively, spent most of the time talking about cats, never stayed on track. Tests were unfair, included material that was never covered. Studying doesn't pay off makes students feel stupid. What I "learned" was solely from the book. Doesn't learn students names.

A very good and friendly French literature professor. The student presentations on texts were a good idea, however I had a hard time understanding most presentations...but the prof always continued talking about the text afterwards. Great prof overall !
