Profesoressa Lorenzi was absolutely amazing! Her classes were well structured and fun. As someone who had never studied Italian it was still easy to do well as she clearly explained every concept. I'm not sure if she is retiring now but if you have the chance, take her course!!!

One of the best professors at UVic. She is renowned here in the department for her kindness and amazing teaching skills. She actually has a fanbase of students, seriously. If you are interested in Italian, you won't regret taking a class with Professoressa Lorenzi.

Professoressa Lorenzi was really great. She managed to keep the class alive and interested for the 3 hour periods 3 times a week. If you stay on top of learning about 20 words a day and reviewing older material you should be fine for the class and the exam.

Daniella Lorenzi is the most amazing teacher and woman I have ever met. Her Italian class was the most interesting class I have ever taken. She is clear and concise and absolutely hilarious. She really truly cares about her students and the language. Take this class, even if you have no interest in Italian. Best teacher ever.

A lot of material covered, but Professoressa Lorenzi was understanding and very helpful. I really enjoyed her enthusiasm, it was a fun class. Knowing another romance language is a bonus, especially french. They are similar.

This is, by far, the most AMAZING professor at UVic. She is incredibly caring, has the best sense of humour and takes the time to make sure that everyone understands the material. Attending class is pretty much mandatory for a great mark, but it's worth going to class as it's always fun! If you want to learn ital, this is your prof!!

I really enjoyed her class a lot. She's always smiling and cheerful and you can tell that she's a very sweet person. For a beginner language class, she made it very easy for us to understand her when she speaks in Italian. I can't wait to go to Italy and put what I've learned to use! :)

I don't understand what people mean by 'difficult marker'. It's simple: if you misspell or forget accents, you're wrong. There are few written assignments. She's one of the best profs I have had and I can't wait for my next class with her. I did really well in her classes even when I had other tough courses and wasn't able to study my Italian.

Comment:

Lorenzi is probably the best professor I've had so far during my first year at UVic. Her confidence in teaching makes her outstanding, and her humour only adds to how cool she is. Definately an easy course if you've taken French/Spanish (or both!). Will give French/Spanish equivalents at times, which was helpful. An easy A+ in both 100A and B.

My favorite course this semester! I can't wait to begin Italian 100B! An awesome prof who explains everything clearly. She provided a lot of practice exercises and quizzes that were so helpful in learning and memorizing the grammar. She's funny and made learning Italian so much fun!
