Very good teacher. Had a different teacher for the start of the semester and my marks literally jumped up 20% when we switched to danny roy. Makes his lectures interesting, marks fairly. Good guy overall

Lectures are very thorough, gives many examples of when he worked for the government, and his reviews for quizzes are basically lectures on their own! Fairly funny with his stories and his marking is good!

He is a tough grader which I didn't expect based on the reviews. He "skims" when he grades your tests to look for keywords instead of actually reading answers. He knows the science of learning so he gives a good review before each exam. Just don't overly rely on his review mat for big exams. Read his word document instead since it is more complete.

Prof. Roy was a great teacher. He is extremely well informed. He goes out of his way to make sure students receive a good mark. Show up to lectures and you will be rewarded with at least a 90 in his class.

Such a nice prof. who really wants you to pass the course with ease. Hes pretty flexible if u happen to miss a class and you missed the lab, hell adjust you with some other section and help u complete it. #nicestmanever

Took DCF255 with him. Such a great prof. Interesting lectures and lab work. We made our own data cable and I'm using it now. You can always ask him if you didn't get something he's going to start explaining one thing and then he's talking about the full stack. Also he's very flexible and can give you either extension or allows to resubmit. d(^--^)

Danny Roy seems extremely competent went it comes to the course work. He is also very open and easy to talk to. However the lectures are absolutely terrible, extremely boring. Its hard to pay attention or stay awake while he goes over the material in a monotone voice. His class takes place once a week. So you will remember nothing when you leave.

There's no take-home work until the final project at the end of the semester. In every class there's a quiz on last week's lecture, and a small assignment. If you skip class, you get zero on the quizzes and assignments. If you pay attention in class and take a few notes, the quizzes should be pretty easy, though there are some terrible questions.

Danny Roy is a nice prof who clearly knows his stuff and is very easy to talk to, however his lectures are possibly the most boring thing I've sat through. More than half my class has no idea what's going on with Powershell we are completely lost. There is no textbook so other than his powerpoints and Google there is no extra reading material.

Easily one of the best Profs in the department. For Win213 (PowerShell) he was always crystal clear with lectures and important deadlines. Detailed and to the point. He's also won teaching awards so it's no wonder. Very approachable and also very intelligent - Knows his stuff. Take him if you want to learn as much as possible - and enjoy it!

Danny is a pretty good prof. He explains the networking concepts really well, he makes subnetting so simple. He's approachable and is always willing to help. His tests are straightforward. His lectures are good to sit through as well.

Danny is a good man. He is well-informed and his teaching style is great. He may seem like he does not care to talk to you about something but that is not true. He just looks uninterested. For the most part, he is within reach and you can tell he loves doing what he does. I would hope he can be my prof again in the future.

Danny is pretty approachable, and is nice when you talk to him one on one. I don't think he enjoys this course material, though, because he's not very enthusiastic about it all. If you don't talk to him at all personally he will come off like a dick, but if you do he is a very nice guy. Would like to see what he's like in other, "real" classes.
