Dr. Dany is one of the best humans I've ever met. He's passionate about people understanding Muslims rather than stereotypes. He kind and funny. If you read the material and attend class you will get a good grade.

Offers 7 possible points for extra credit which i would recommend to do all points because it makes a difference from one letter grade to the other. The only difficult part of his course are the exams because if your not in class or don't look at the stuff on blackboard and read you wont do good. Other than that easy course but must attend class.

Best professor I have ever had! He truly cares about all of his students as if they were his own kids. Never have I felt so appreciated and respected. If you have a chance to take any of his classes, please do so, you won't regret it! He is amazing! You rock Dr. Doueiri!

Great professor! Very fun, charismatic and, above all, humble. His lectures are always interesting. Be aware of the weekly reading assignments as his exams DO include questions from the readings in addition to lecture.

Comment:

Professor Doueiri brings a lot of charisma and energy to every class session. Attendance quiz after every class. uploads a lot of content to read and watch on black board, go through all of it because 95% of the test is based on these articles. Overall it is an easy and fun class.

This guy is a crack up. I did not want to take this class, but happy I did. You wont regret taking him! Easy professor and you can make up for points easily with all the extra credit he provides.

I love Dr. Dany! He is passionate about community and made the huge class a community. I learned so many things about Islam, the USA, the world and different cultures. He treated everyone as equals. He was concerned that we understood the content. He had great speakers and videos. I don't have anything negative to say about him.

Best professor I've had at CSUSB. He truly cares about his students. He made class very interactive and fun. He is very open and honest and will answer any questions, concerns about Islam. We watched several clips, videos and movies to support the subject. 1 midterm, 1 final, non-cumulative. We took a field trip to a local Islamic center.

Overall great professor who truly cares about his students. I took this class because I was interested in learning about Islam. He teaches the class from his own experience growing up as a Muslim, which is a plus. 2 exams, a research paper, and a field trip to one of the local Mosques are just a couple of things that must be done in order to pass.

Professor Dany is awesome but his class lacks consistency. He is spread very thin so it is almost impossible to contact him outside of class. He was constantly flying out for different conferences, so often times we wold have guest speakers that would interfere with him covering all of the class material. The class is simple enough to pass though

He is absolutely amazing! I loved this class so much! He makes a huge effort to answer everybodies questions and is open to everything, he doesn't shy away from questions. It was such a good class and I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone who is considering taking it.

Prof Dany is a great professor. His class is huge and he likes to have guest speakers come in. The work he assigns is easy, gives study guides for the exams and goes over them in class. Take this class, its amazing.

I recommend this class! Out of the 4 years that I've been here, professor Dany is the most memorable and thats saying alot. He's hilarious and really tries to get everyone to learn/understand more about the world of Islam. I walked out of this class with more respect than I already have towards all cultures. 1 midterm, 1 final and daily attendance.

VERY DIFFICULT TO FAIL THIS CLASS. PROFESSOR DANY IS VERY FUNNY. HE MAKES EVERY LECTURE INTERESTING. TWO EXAMS, TWO JOURNALS, ONE RESEARCH PAPER(800 WORDS) AND ATTENDANCE. EXAMS ARE MULTIPLE CHOICE. GO TO EVERY LECTURE AND YOU WOULD LEARN HAVE FUN AND EARN AN EASY A.

Dr. Dany is soo amazing & hilarious! He is most def an unconventional professor, but does it in such a way that makes you actually want to go to his class. Which btw, you need to attend anyway for class attendance points. Study guides for exam, 1 easy paper, easy quizzes, go to a mosque which is very interesting. Highly recommend taking him.
