He definitely likes the sound of his own voice. He is very intelligent, but has difficulty conveying information to the students. He all to often makes people feel that their questions are stupid, therefore discouraging much in the way of class discussion.

The worst Professor ever!!! I feel like an idiot in this class. If you are a C average Math student, I suggest you to drop this class ASAP. If you always do the homeworks, it does not mean that you'.. pass his class with A or B. There are a curve in this class, but it's not really helping. Overall,he is a very bright professor, But he CAN'T teach.

Worst Math prof. ever!!! He's so frickin' hard. If you only have a so-so Math background. I suggest you to drop it ASAP. The Quizzes are hard, and the tests are hard. Not too many students really understand the way he teach. By the way, he reminds me of Sean Connery & Santa Claus.

At first I thought he was the worst professor that I had ever taken.I took his first test and thought that I got about a 30. I got a 78 because he is generous with his grading. After I looked back at the test I realized I made stupid mistakes and could have gotten an A. After that first test I realized he was a good professor but too boring.

Dr. Stone is impatient and makes his students feel like they are stupid when he is asked questions. I lasted all of two class periods before deciding to jump to a different profesor's class. His booming voice and hastiness is not helpful whatsoever.

In the words of Dr Stone, You could say that.... but you'd be dead wrong. He does not need to teach intro ANYTHING. He is literally a professor's professor. A brilliant mind, but he has difficulty getting his point across.

Quizzes do not always reflect problems in book. His teaching style is very dry, too fast, too much detail. Whoevr said its the students fault is wrong! I study 20-30 hours a wk. only to find that he put somethng tricky on the quiz to make you screw you up.

For students who have taken calculus in high school, his teaching will make sense since the techniques have been used before by the students. For those who haven't taken calculus, however, his teaching methods can be somewhat hard to understand at first.

STONE may not be very easy to understand, but he been very helpfull to answer every question and he look smart enough. The problem is not Him, but the students who too stupid or too lazy to study. If you don't like math don't blame the teacher.

Stone should not teach Theroritical Calc 1! His style of teaching would be good if the Calculus was expanded to 3 semesters, but is in such a rush with the sylabus that explanitions are never, ever clear!

He has a lot of knowledge, just not a lot of presentation ability. Dr. Allum is supposed to be a lot easier to understand. I think the biggest problem for stone is that he spent all this time getting a doctorate degree...to regress and teach intro stuff
