I thought I was doing pretty well in the class, but there wasn't really a good way to figure it out. He was a pretty good teacher for stats but moved through ideas kind of slow for my taste. Getting an A is way more work than it's worth, unless you have a sick attraction to graphs and formulas.

It's a difficult class and he doesn't make it any easier. He wrote the textbook which is helpful when it comes to understanding his lectures. Nice guy, very willing to help out but incredibly boring. The course is based on 4 tests so you really have to work your butt off to do well.

Like others have said, he teaches by reading powerpoints. You already have them, so don't bother going. I stopped going after the first test, and my grade actually improved! What a waste of time. Take it in the EXSC department instead. Anything would be better than this professor.

I thought sport psych would be so cool because I love sports. NOPE! Hardly any relevance or reference to sport. He simply reads off the PowerPoints that he gives you in your packet. It was so unbearably boring that I rarely attended class and still got an A-.

Hands down the most boring course, book, and professor. He was dry and his book of diagrams (which you are forced to buy) make absolutely no sense. DO NOT take this professor.

This was a joke. Teaches his "exclusive and copyrighted" diagrams (that don't make much sense) and used the class as a self-promotion outlet, instead of actual personality theory. I should have left this class with more knowledge, instead I just want to be pickier about who I take classes from. This was an ultimate waste of my time.

This class was so boring and I had a hard time understanding the concepts he was teaching from the diagrams he used. I learned the same things in later classes and realized I should have learned them in this one. I thought it would be fun, but it wasn't so much.

Not too hard, but very boring. The classroom was hot which made it even harder to pay attention. Teaches things very conceptually with lots of diagrams but not an outline format.

Teaches much more conceptually than other teachers. Emphasizes understanding what the formulas mean.

He is amazing at explaining statistics - his other classes are not quite as good, but Stats is amazing.

The class was extremely boring, and it was difficult to stay awake. He explained "why" but not "how" to do stats. You would basically have to teach yourself. There was no point in attending his lectures.

If you attend lectures, and read a text, this is easy A class. But, lecture is extremely boring and long. therefore there will be less motivation to study hard and do reading assignments.

He is extremely boring. He makes simple statistics way too complicated by telling you tons of formulas that you don't need and disguising simple formulas you learned in high school as really complex ones that will confuse the crap out of you.

Not a hard class if you can pay attention, which was my biggest challenge. Went to two classes and then decided to read the book instead...very very lenient testing curve. I got an A when I should've gotten a C.

I absolutely hated his class and was bored stiff the entire semester. If you want a class to sleep through, find one that he's teaching.
