This prof is well worth his salary! He is available to answer questions and offer suggestion both after class and during office hours. As long as you follow his instructions, you will do well, but the instructions are complicated so ask if you are confused. He records all lectures and posts on moodle. A decent amount of reading. Great class/ prof!

I learn more from Tony's lectures than any other prof I have had at UPEI. He just has a way of clarifying information that others profs don't. His dry humor is hilarious.. His exams are the stuff of nightmarish legend, so be warned, and remember to take something to massage the feeling back into your hand afterwards.

One of the best. Made the material interesting, and understandable. Challenging subject, but this is a prof who is eager to help students succeed. Wish they were all that way.

Professor is hard to follow and is critical of responses that are supposed to be personal opinion. Made an interesting class dull and hard to understand. Not recommended as prof.

Has a lot to say, but you can tell that he always knows what he is talking about. Very straight to the point and easy to take notes from his lecture. Text books are absolutely mandatory for his classes, as he has open book tests and exams.

When a brief comment receives a rambling, irrelevant answer and no chance for other students to respond, something is terribly, terribly wrong. Couture's material was ill-chosen and outdated with poor range and his lectures were impenetrably dull. I wish I had joined the vast majority who stopped attending.

Incoherent, rambling lectures and handouts. Brutal marker - my mark in his class is fully 20% less than my others. I have no idea how anyone could like this guy as a professor - maybe he is better in upper year classes.

The class I took was Philosophy of Human Rights. In lectures he Rambled on-and-on about nothing leading you to be unable to take clear and concise notes. He did not make it clear on what to expect for the exam. Time frame was horrible to answer so many essay format questions. All-in-all, hard marker and boring lectures, avoid this class and prof.

Go to class, take notes, listen to his lectures which are very clear- you'll do well and learn a lot. He's a pure teacher in his attention to each and every lecture. very thoughtful, whether he's got a gigantic Marx beard or not.
