he is extremely misunderstood. i thought he was a bad prof too because I came into uni as a punk highschool kid. after bombing the midterm i did every question in his book... killed the final finished with an A.. hes a softie at heart I know he bumped me. He can be rude but its because he knows people aren't doing their homework. mark = effort here

Whoever said hes a good profs lying. His evaluation for tests do not fairly evaluate a student's understanding of material. So if you do get him, pay close attention to answer presentation: it matters more than the answer itself. He communicates poorly, writes messy, comes to class late, doesn't use blackboard/powerpoint; so go to class sit close

A great teacher!!I understand why some people may not like him. If you ask stupid questions, he will critisize you and if u don't pay attention in class you will get screwed. He goes over hmk as much as the class wants, and will show you the exact format he wants on tests.His tests are very fair, and directly from class work ,normally a hard app.q

the best thing about this prof is that he is crystal clear in his explanations. oh, he also bumped our final grades too. i'd say each of his tests have only 1 question that is tricky. i got an A in his class. just some tips.. dont miss any classes. do the homework he assigns. follow his problem solving method to the tee. i would recommend him. :)

Here is the key to this class: pay attention in class and DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Trust me on this. I did OK on the 2 midterms, but the exam was super hard. Luckily, I think he belled it up so I went from an A- to an A+. People say he's hard, but I think he's a softy deep down. One more bit of advice: have EVERYTHING on your cheat sheet on your exam

He thinks he is better than the textbook. Deaf and has memory problem. Does not want to wark in the class. You will have to do everything and he will only answer if you have any question. Exams are harder. Give assignments with wrng data and doesn't wanna accept that that he makes a lot of mistake. He does not want students to pass.

This is the worst prof ever, he knows what he's talking about but he DOES NOT know how to teach. It's hard to read his writing, he'll get mad if you ask questions in class and when i went to his office he said 'thats not my problem'. He's NEVER clear about what hes teaching. Seriously best decision of your life is to switch out of his class.

Prof Smith is not clear, does not care. Grade harsh, and most learning I have done from his marking. He did not teach us well, and then graded harsh, so we just learned from one exam to the other, and that is the reason I have got 85 on my final after semester with mostly 60's. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!!!

Nice guy on the inside, but not very good when it comes to teaching. The whole course revolves around using SPSS yet he does not show you how to use it. You can try to learn it yourself but you probably still won't get a very good mark. He has very specific requirements when answering questions. FOLLOW THEM DIRECTLY OR EXPECT TO LOSE MARKS.

Very straight forward and apprehensible during the lecture. Should be able to ace this course as long as you do every questions being asked and know where the mistakes often occurred. The only things needed to watch out for are rules like significant digit, formulas, etc.

Attendance mandatory if you want to pass. See him after class, he is VERY nice and helpful about EVERYTHING (project included, start early or face the crowd). Pay attention even if it's hard to. Do all of the work and keep up ALWAYS. Very hard marker (sig dig, format, etc count), hard course and needs a LOT of effort. Just give him a chance.
