Comment:

Nice person, cares about students, but an awful lecturer. Didn't do more than 20% of the readings and did well, she basically tells you exactly what will be on the exam. Someone should push her to make readings more accessible (might have done them this way lol)--maybe a course pack like some others have suggested. Also, read the treatise.

Totally disorganized in both her lecture style and her reading assignments. There is no text for the course, and she hasn't, after obviously many years of teaching, thought it worthwhile to help the students out with a course-pack. Instead, she uploads all kinds of differently formatted PDFs online and you have to print them all yourself--terrible.

Lahey is fabulous and brilliant and down to earth and sincerely cares about her students. Side "bonus": you learn an awful lot about the Norman Conquest.

Professor Lahey is a great teacher. She makes complicated topics easy to understand. Before saying she is boring/uninterested maybe take a look at what she is working with. She has to teach introductory prop stuff that is quite dry

She knows what she's talking about, and although she is sometimes busy, she is off arguing cases at the supreme court, which is forgiveable for sure. Students would be lucky to have a class with such an accomplished prof.

Very Smart, approachable and supportive. An excellent teacher and mentor. I loved her class and would take more of her courses. Professor Lahey researches extensively and has published widely. I give her an excellent rating.

Very unhelpful when approached for assistance. Clearly sees this course as more of a nuisance and drain on her own research time than an opportunity to excite and engage first year students. I would definitely avoid if possible.
