Others have noted the brutal stare he gives you when you say something dumb, but I have learnt that he is giving you the benefit of the doubt, he is trying to understand. The look on his face is that he is processing what you said and it is not computing. Occasionally he sees where you are going (and your error) and he smiles--very occasionally.

I took this DE. It was terrible, the examples given in lecture and the textbook weren't helpful to the assignments which were marked un-necessarily difficult. Think of taking common sense, drawing it out, and being picked apart for the smallest things. Avoid this course at all costs...It's also insanely boring. Top 3 worst courses I've taken/40.

Absolutely amazing prof. Lectures are clear, and he sets the pace according to the response of the students. Material is fully explained so your are very well prepared for tests; no surprises. He'll go way out of his way to help you if he thinks you're interested. Take any class you can with him!

Devidi seemed fine at the beginning, but then the course went EVERYWHERE.. he showed us no guidelines or where we're heading.. very confusing! Good luck figuring out what is going on! He gives really irrelevant examples, often go out of point. A big question mark after every class! Sit in before drop date and see if u can tolerate that..

Good prof, very clear, however the subject itself was very far above my head. Beware of the look he gives when you're way off the mark when asking questions. Just close your mouth. You're digging yourself deeper.
