Uncle Dave's Anthropology class was a joy. You could attend class, or not - he does reviews a day or week before exams. Be sure to remind him about assignments/extra credits/other class related materials - he tends to be forgetful - he's human. No textbook!

Uncle Dave is one of the best professors I've ever had! I'd take him again in a heartbeat. He's super fun and hilarious so the lectures are never boring. The workload is basically nonexistent. Just show up to class, take notes, and most importantly, go the reviews before the exams. You'll do great!

Has great Lectures, and stories from his adventures as an Anthropologist. He takes his shoes off before every class. When doing the in-class study guide he goes fast so be sure to pay attention. If you write fast this tool comes in handy when you are taking notes. Be cautious he swears, but it's hilarious. Take this dude you won't regret it. Easy A

Uncle Dave is one of my favorite professors at East Bay. He has a love for what he teaches and he does a great job at making the lectures fun. His class isn't super hard but if you don't do your homework or show up to class, you won't be able to get an A in there.

Uncle Dave is an awesome professor! It's pretty easy to get an A in his class, all you have to do is pay attention to what he says in class because what he says goes on the tests and just do the homework. He's really nice and easy to reach for help. Plus, he keeps class really entertaining.

Uncle Dave is a beast!! This man has a broad scope of knowledge. The man knows and understands the science of teaching. Many people call his class easy, but it's rather he's easy on a students brain which allows the student to actually learn rather than take information and then never use it again. This man is remarkable. Extremely funny!!

He is a very nice guy who likes to try and make his lectures interesting. There are two exams and 4 homework assignments. He is always there to help and is a relatively easy grader. Ask for help and he always has an answer, he is also very easy to contact out of class. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HIM!!!

Hands down the best! He is very funny and I thought I won't like the class, but I loved it! He did not give a final and for the midterm went over the answers right before giving it out, so there was no way to fail it. There are a couple of easy and short papers, overall easy A. His lectures are very inspirational and he is a really nice guy.

Taking a class with this professor will alleviate some of the stress from the other courses. This professor is hilarious, and his lectures are stories of his experiences that you will learn a lot from. I would take this professor again if I had the chance to. There are two tests, but gives the answers to the class a day before the test.

Professor Matsuda, Funniest teacher I've ever had By Far. He'll ask you to call him "Uncle Dave," which I thought was weird at first, but he's so funny, I'd call him Caitlyn if he wanted me to. The class is weighted on 3 typed ethnorgaphys (3-5pg each) and two multiple choice finals based on in class lectures. The book helps, but isn't required.

Best teacher I've had hands down. I didn't know anything about Anthropology before taking this class but now I'm considering a minor. Lots of lectures but they were all incredibly interesting. Uncle Dave always had stories to tell to keep things fun. Second half of the class was almost all movies. Both tests are50 mc/tf you write the questions.

Uncle Dave was hilarious, although somedays his lectures could be really boring and long. He has lots of pretty interesting stories that he likes to share with us. Nice and very understanding to his students. We had to make our own midterm/final questions and the day before the test we had a review session so literally the answers are there already
