He taught course with D.Makaroff who is a horrible prof. and not very friendly. Callele on the other hand is very friendly/approachable and has an excellent understanding of concepts. I felt as if Makarof was (intellectually) running to keep up with Callele who was more intelligent. Callele is a KIck A$$ prof.

Callele is a very warm, personable prof. He tells you exactly what he expects, and he won't pull punches. His years of experience in the industry show. Any class you take will be tough, but worth it -- it'll teach you things.

He believes in that the marks don't matter. It's all a statistical game that you must play. I somehow managed to fail every assignment, passed the exams and I pulled off a mark VERY far above the average.

I just finished the class and I don't remember learning anything from him. The class is very helpful, but the instruction is inadequate. Grading scheme is terrible, but you'll be okay if you stay above most of the class.

Best CompSci prof I've ever had (or heard about). Guess what... the "real world" is what's important and he actually relates the real world to what you're learning. VERY approachable... spends hours with students if needed.

Can be very tough, but for the right reason. It's important to realize that his thinking is unlike any other prof you have. Some may not be able to handle this. If you think he is unapproachable I don't think you EVER dropped by his office.

Very helpful. Any questions at all just ask him.. he takes lots of time out of his day to answer students questions and wants every student to be successful. However, this also means that he is a tough prof. Overall the best professor I've had.
