Dr. Cassel is very knowledgeable and knows thermo like a wizard. Sometimes in class he goes to fast to follow, and don't try to correct him in class.. Overall, he is a good professor that wants his students to learn.

A very knowledgable teacher with a lot of experience. He enjoys and understands the material. If you do not do the homework this class would be super hard. The tests are thorough of the material but if you have studied well throughout the semester and not just the night before, you will do just fine. He is also available to help in his office.

Enthusiastic about the material but not a riveting lecturer. More intelligible than Whaley. Using the book and asking questions in his office or bb will get you through the class. (I had him for thermo, dynamics, heat transfer, adv. thermo, thermal fluids lab, partial diff eq.)

he's a nice guy and all, but you can really just stay at home and copy the same notes out of the book and do the homework as you would if you were in class. stay on top of the hw and you should do well.
