This prof was the worst prof I have ever encountered. This man does not teach anything. He reads to us refuses to answer students questions stating it is not his job to "teach us" it is his job to provide us with enough information to answer the questions after that we are on our own. The U of W should be ashamed for hiring such a worthless prof.

horrible professor. all he does is read out information in a monatone voice and then repeats it once again in a monatone voice so you can write it down. did not understand or learn anything. all i got out of it was writers cramp and a hell of alot of notes. no class interaction. so boring!dont take him unless you have to!

Alot of people are harsh on Professor Cheal because he isnt' necessarily the best prof. That being said he is unbelievably smart and I really got alot out of his theory class.

The worst professor ever.Don't be fooled into buying the book he tells you, get the one he wrote and dicates to you in class. You don't need to go to class either, just get the essay list and use the text he wrote.He's unhelpful, snide and just plain rude to students. There is no class dicussion or outside material, BORING!He shouldn't be teaching

Reach beyond the theory? Not at all, he reads a paragraph, reads it slowly again, find the key points make an essay out of it and A+'s will be yours. Simple. But extremely dry. I never go and still have a B+ average. Unless you want to play secretary 101, don't bother.

One of the worst profs ever. No class discussion, and very intimidating. Every time someone asks a question he gets this smirk on his face as if he thinks its the stupidest thing he's heard. When confronted about it he said "that's my look". To do well on his tests, regurgitating information will not do. You have to reach beyond the theory.

Class very structured, and the notes very clear. Tests are not too bad if you attend class and study. The only issues are that lectures can be pretty dull and dry, and he does not deal well with dumb (from his perspective) questions during class.

Very sweet man, will help you if you ask. Class is bland, nothing but lectures, but he slowly repeats all of the definitions that he gives so that you can write them down, and he doesn't speak too fast. If you take notes and study for tests,you'll do fine
