I took Chilson for the spring 2006 session of 202. He was a great professor. Not the easiest professor to take but he teaches you the material and in my mind, that is all that matters. Im surprised to read from other ratings that he isnt helpful. He seems to care about each one of his students and tries to help them as much as possible. Tests= hard

I just had him. He can get a little boring, but as long as you pay attention to the major points, you should do ok. His tests and quizzes are a little difficult, but he usually makes up for that with a decent curve.

He covered the material well enough, but the programming assignments were a bit simplistic. For the most part, the class was pretty easy. He was a very picky grader though.

He is very particular about the way he grades. He repeats himself constantly. He goes over basic material or non-202 material alot. Don't take him Tues,Thurs because the classes drone on and on...He was not very helpful with office hours. He refers you to the grad assistant most times. Busy man.

Doesnt explain the way I would have liked. Dont expect too much help from him. I went into his office hours numerous times and he didnt help out very much, he just sits in front of his computer.
