His class is mostly memorization with little real-world applicability. A monkey could pass his class. He is elitist and arrogant, yet disconnected from what real computer engineers do. If you want to listen to interesting lectures, do NOT take this guy. He's a bit of an a** and has a sensitive ego.

He is a very nice guy who is willing to help you. However, his classes were very boring and did not help out. The only reason I got an A was the SI sessions helped out a lot.

Are you kidding me! He barely helped our class. There were so many D's and F's. I went to study sessions about two times a week. The person in charge of my study session taught better than Ron. If you are not really good with math and computers do not take it with this guy. Worse class ever!! This class consumed my whole semester. Literally!

This course is the most valuable course you can take. If you can't develop in an IDE you're nto ready for the outside. He's effective and knowledgeable. His assignments can be tough, but if you have the time and the will he will help start your NERD transformation. There is not a better class or teacher in BG (but Zimmerman & Maner are close 2 him)

Very helpful if you're willing to ask questions. Gives you a lot of in class help, but it was a lot of work! Recommended.
