Comment:

Cockley is a great professor and has so much knowledge and experience to share with the class. Attendance is crucial to get all the notes and a better grasp of course material. Textbook is not necessary. His exams are tough but at the 400 level , courses are not meant to be easy. He seems quite stern but is always willing to help!

Don't see what they hype is about this man. He is an average professor. He never responds to emails. Takes points off of assignments for no apparent reason and when you ask him about it he just points out that you need to read the criteria again.

Comment:

Cockley is a good choice for this class. His tests are somewhat challenging but that's only meant so you actually STUDY. You HAVE to go to class, he takes attendance and you need to go to fill out his powerpoints and for pop quizzes. He is also very willing to help, don't be afraid to go up to him and ask for help, even though he seems scary.

Definitely not a difficult class but attendance is CRUCIAL. He grades on a 10 points scale and it 's not hard material, but missing the pop quizzes and attendance days literally brought me down 9% on my final grade. All of his powerpoints are word for word on quizlet if you search "HSA 365 Session ...," but you definitely need to go to class

Cockley is a great guy. He can come across as stern, but he is extremely nice and willing to help. He takes attendance, and you need to come to class to fill in his PowerPoints because he posts the short version on Canvas. There is some group work in his classes, several short papers, and his tests are tough. Study hard and you'll be fine!

unrealistic expectations. doesnt explain the assignments then gives everyone in the class 70s because we didnt do them right. i went to 75% of his classes and he gave me a 20/50 for attendance. he is incredibly boring and unhelpful. personally i think he is bitter about something

Cockley is one of my favorite HSA professors. You can tell that he loves teaching. There's a term paper for this class, but I found it interesting. Don't buy the books, although you probably won't do well on the pop quizzes if you don't read. I got an A, and you can too if you study hard!
