Awesome/hilarious professor!!! Easy A if you pay attention and study, but don't treat this class like a joke. Tests are fill-in definition style with two short essays on important topics. 2 papers (6 pages each) very generous grader. I definitely recommend Prof Conover to anyone looking to take this class!

Comment:

The biggest thing with this class was that it was an intro (easy) science class at night so unfortunately nobody cared. Well, Conover cares regardless. He's super enthusiastic about teaching and keeps class interesting even through lots of Powerpoints. Take notes and study a little the night before and you'll breeze through. He's a generous grader.

Comment:

Must study well for the exams (2 + the final) & papers that are time consuming. Need to put in a lot of effort w/ papers (he rly looks critically at what you learn from it & you must write thoughtfully.) I loved this prof. So passionate, knowledgeable, & makes you care about what you are learning! I seriously loved/learned a lot from this class!

Class is not as easy as these ratings make it out to be. Two tests which have MC, Short Answers, and Essays. Make sure you study the definitions for the tests. There are also two 12-14 page papers which aren't difficult but are time consuming. There is also one cumulative final. Great guy with a passion for environmental science.

Conover is probably one of my favorite professors. I have never been very interested in Environmental Science but this class changed that completely. His discusses very relevant, current topics and makes you want to try to make a difference. Two long but easy papers and 2-3 easy tests. Took for night class and was very easy to stay awake. TAKE HIM!

This man is so funny, and so smart, not bad looking either!! I hate science but love this class, Conover brings so much to it. Nature walks a plus! He's a high school teacher too so that also means he can actually teach and explain concepts so it's possible to understand.

Great class for people who don't generally do well in science courses. More social/political than scientific and he is very passionate about the environment. One paper and 2 tests, not bad at all and in the end I will remember and use A LOT of the information. Plus, he's very funy, TAKE HIM!

This guy is the man! He talks about stuff that is genuinely interesting and can be pretty funny. Shows a video practically every other class then discusses it the next. Dont buy the textbook, all the tests come directly from notes he gives. 1 paper, no hw, very low stress class. Override definitely

Very cool guy. He's extremely laid back and very down to earth. He enjoys teaching and knows his stuff. Theres a midterm, 10 page paper, and a final, but thats it for the semester. I really enjoy this class and I have no interest in science whatsoever. I would definately take this class.

I live for this class. I have a 3 hour class with this man and don't care. So awesome, knows his stuff. Really nice. NO homework usually. some easy journals and 2 tests.
