Does not provide much helpful feedback on assignments. Passive aggressive in his grading. If you give your opinion when you are told to, you are already wrong. You really can't win with him. Unrealistic expectations. I would not recommend this professor if you wish to continue to preserve your GPA. I enjoyed writing up until this course.

Took his online third year writing class. He's nice when you meet him but rather passive aggressive when critiquing your papers and doesn't offer much constructive advice. I still got a B because I did all the discussions and blog work required, but the actual essays were a pain. In short, don't take this professor unless you have to.

THIS PROFESSOR IS ABSOLUTELY AND UTTERLY INSANE!!!!!! Do NOT waste your time taking his course. EXTREMELY unclear in every way shape and form regarding assignments, what he expects from you, what the class is even ABOUT, and what his final exam is going to be on. For my class he had a 60% failure rate, and I believe that speaks VOLUMES about him

Great professor! He assigns a lot of writing (makes sense since this was a writing class) but most of it is fairly straight forward and practically writes itself. Really funny, nice guy and assigns very interesting books for class. Definitely recommend him!

Great professor. Fairly opinionated, and definitely challenges you with writing. The required blogs were extremely interesting. Assigns a lot of writing, but most of it is not too bad. Great discussions, but DO NOT try to debate him about religion. Someone in my class tried to and got totally shut down. Overall, great professor!

A very nice man, who knows what he's talking about. Although, he assigned a TON of reading. We had one day were there was 124 pages of reading due. Many times students want to keep up, but it's so much we can't fit it in with all our other classes. Likes to get creative with quizzes and test which is a little confusing, but overall I'd give him a B

If you do your work, you will be fine. A lot of discussion in class. His grading seemed to be subjective, especially when it was an opinionated essay. A bit socially awkward. I did learn quite a bit, though, about writing. He never gives tests. I did my work and tried to do it the best to my ability and I got an A.

Dr. Curtis is pretty funny if you get his dry humor. I enoyed it, he's very knowledgable and is there to help you if you show that you can put for a little effort. I hate english and have never been good at it, but he made it bearable. He's a really smart guy and knows that most people are there just because its mandatory class

Dr. C is awesome! He realizes that the class is required no matter what and therefore makes it challenging and engaging but not impossibly difficult. He really isn't that hard of a grader but you will defintiely have to work a little bit. He is extremely helpful and super nice, although boring at times.

Dr. Curtis is a pretty nice guy. The class is mostly reading and writing. We read about four or five novels throughout the semester. There were no tests at all...just papers. Most of the papers were like 4-5 papers. There is just one big one due at the end thats like 10 pages. But he's a very fair grader

This was a good class, but was sometime hard to understand. The tests were difficult because some of the concepts were not discussed in our class discussions. All discussions were led by students and tended to go off topic.

Great professor! Sometimes the material is hard, but as long as you do it, it's not hard to make a good grade in the class. He is very fair and I highly recommend him!
