Comment:

He only grades you based on tests and attendance. You could think you're doing great on the assignments but as soon as you get your tests back you'll see that you lost a ton of points for minor things. Attendance is also mandatory unless you have a valid reason to not go. I really wanted to like him, but I feel like he doesn't like us. :(

Feikes is really nice guy, but i wasn't fond of the way he taught his class this semester. he just seems so over whelmed since he became department head. i wish he would have collected homework for a grade like any other teacher since he has us do it every night anyways. i just felt like we rushed through everything. i wish someone else taught 137.

I am not too fond of his teaching method. He will say something is a certain way, but will not explain why. He is childish, and expects all teachers to share his enthusiasm with math. He tries to be funny by making jokes about the answers that students give and does not give them time to explain their answers. He also tends to ignore answers given.

By far the best professor I've had yet! I'm absolutely HORRIBLE at math and he makes it very interesting. I find myself enjoying and wanting to go to his class daily. He makes even the tougher things easy to remember with his use of songs, bands and movies. Plus, his activity days are fun to do for a break from notes every week! Very fun class!

Dr. Feikes is by far the best prof I've had yet! He really cares about what he teaches and you can tell the first time you meet him. He also has many themes when he teaches, which makes things a little more interesting. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to take another class with him! :)
