Fred Patten ROCKS DA HOUSE!!!! This man single-handedly inspired me to get more involved in the world around me and to pay more attention to what's going on sociopolitically throughout the world. His lectures are engaging and intense, and he teaches with a "fire in the belly" that you rarely see in most profs.

Dr. Patten is by far the best professor I've ever had. Some students don't like that he doesn't use the book in class but he does use it for the tests.If you just READ the book and use the study guides, besides paying attention in class it's an easy A. Plus, he is just a great person in general.
