The best prof. I have ever had. I took his math135 and all his lectures were well-organized and amazing! He is a very kind man and always accessible outside class. You would want to miss one class if you are enrolled.

My semester in Math 249 was defined by excellently written assignments and thorough explanations of theorems used. The assignments helped emphasize important pieces of content, of which there were many. A difficult class, but one in excellent hands.

Prof. Wagner is reaaaaallly clear. He is also very funny and has some cool storiesjokes. Assignments are long and tough but are biweekly which is nice as the regular section has weekly assignments. Our exam was also a breeze if you did all the assignments and went to lectures.

BEST prof I have had in UW so far. He is really clear and makes sure the class understands what is going on. The assignments are somewhat challenging but definitely do able if you go to class, start early and seek help when confused. He is very down to earth and it seems like I am talking to an old friend rather than a prof.

I hate the way he talks, he always stop for 3-5 seconds between each setence, and his voice is kinda low too. Sometimes make ya wanna fall asleep. Other than that hes fine.

Horrible professor. Makes a ton of computation mistakes during his lecture and will leave you correcting your notes multiple times. He is also very unorganized (lost his glasses for 2 weeks), marks very slowly, and released final marks a few days after the official release date. He is extremely rude in emails and thinks way too highly of himself.

This is Prof. Wagner's first time teaching this class in a decade. Many of the people in my class switched out after the first week. He barely goes over the material that's on the assignments and quizzes. Otherwise hes generally interesting and comical. His math digressions are irrelevant yet fascinating.

He made the material interesting and fun. But he can be vague at times; skips (lots of) steps because he is really good at doing algebra in his head. Assignments were interesting, but the exams aren't. Fun class overall.

Pretty good prof, I learned a lot. Calculations are horrid on assignments AND exams, so learn to pull of stuff like that really fast and don't make arithmetic errors. (I clicked "incomplete grade" because I just got back from writing the final (lol).)

Initially I thought he was lost and disorganized but within weeks his confidence level went up and it became the most interesting course that term. He has a great passion and interest level for his subject and engages students to think rather than giving them answers right away during office hours. Overall he made me thoroughly enjoy enumeration.

Teaches well, but is reluctant to give bonus marks, even for advanced math courses, and even though the calculations are (sometimes excessively) messy. And he goes way too slow at times... repeating things over and over.

Since the course itself is very hard, he did a fairly good job of presenting the material. Helpful outside of class if he can tell you have actually tried to learn something. Midterm and Final were fairly hard, but if you know what you're doing, you should do fine. Take this course only if its a requirement, very hard!

Wagner was one of the worst profs i have had. His teaching style is totally incomprehensible. He is teaching a discrete math course for engineers and all he does are proofs. and his mid-terms and finals are all calculations. so why not do that in class? no idea.

All i have to say is that he is an ****. He marked a question wrong on one of my exams and wouldnt fix HIS mistake. I lost 5% of my final grade because of that.
