He is VERY rude to his students and is not understanding of circumstances. He makes you feel invalidated and has a VERY strict attendance policy. Yes the class is easy (seriously, you don't need to read, he goes over EVERY page the next day or skips through important parts of the book) but it's a bit of a pain at times.

Extremely boring class. He can be quite the smartass too, which tends to get annoying. If you don't share the same opinion as him then you're screwed. Not too much work involved, final and midterm are in class. But again the class is EXTREMELY boring and pointless.

If you want to take a class that you don't have to think about the material this is it. If you want to take a class where your points are not nullified, if they go against what the teacher thinks. Do not take him. I butted heads with this man the entire class. He wouldn't let anyone think on their own about the assignment, and penalized those who did.

Took a course on tape from Dr. Greenman in Shakespeare as a non-major. I enjoyed enjoyed Shakesepeare prior to starting the course, and Greenman was a great. If you like Shakespeare, need a good literature course, or are a major, a highly recommend him.
