bad lecturer, nice guy, used 30min of 1.5hr time for lecture for a quize everyday then only used 30-40 min actually teaching. Didn't use the book either

The class itself was incredibly easy since he basically gave you the all the tests and the final beforehand. You were given exams from past years that either had the same exact questions or were marginally changed. The daily quizzes were annoying and the class was boring, but he was a cool guy.

He is probably one of the worst if not the worst math professor on campus, he doesnt know how to teach, he doesnt have office hours and he cant answer your questions very clearly. lecture is useless and theres a quiz EVERY SINGLE DAY including the first day of class!! you have to go to every lecture because the grade is based on quizzes and a final

Worse math class I've ever taken. The lecture is completely useless, and there's quizzes EVERY time that makes you to go waste your time. He almost doesn't write on blackboard at all, yet ALL class notes are horrible handwriting that nobody wants to read it. The class shouldn't be hard (as a math major I can say that), yet he makes it unbearable.

His class is EXTREMELY boring and he could not explain things well but he expects you to attend every class to do quiz and understand materials perfectly. This is really a paradox. However if you think the class is useless so start to miss classes, then he will downgrade your final grade. avoid him!

Wants to teach more so than any other math professor. He is extremely intelligent but teaches in an "old school" manner. There are some things that he does that take much longer than needed and also some things that can save you ALOT of time. He posts notes online :). One of the most unclear professors here at Bing. Taught myself the whole class through his old tests which have a mistake in nearly every problem in his answer key. Half of the class was him telling us what we're going to do that class which takes longer than actually doing it. Take this class with someone else unless you're a genius.

This class is very hard. He is a little helpful when you have question to ask him. His lecture is really poor and boring. He read off his note as a way of teaching. More then 50% of his class get lower then C-.

He is a very nice guy, and cares a lot. But he is not a good teacher, and every time I went for help I was more confused. Very boring and hard to listen to at 8 in the morning. I highly recommend not taking him

Horrible teacher. He assigns homeworks that have nothing to do with his daily quizzes, which in turn do not line up with his incomprehensible lessons every day. Can't get a feel for the class, can't even begin to do the homework, and I'm going to fail every single test. Too old to be teaching.

Prof Hanson is a very sweet man who would love to answer questions (before or after school). He has difficulty hearing the students and is somewhat tech-challenged and when it gets to the point in the semester when he runs through his notes quickly, it's frustrating to try to keep up. I read everyones comments and I honestly didnt dont agree with everyone. Although he is a nice guy, he makes even the most simple mathematical equations complex. I am a great math student, but I simply could not follow his work in class. I relied on the textbook and got a B-. I've never gotten below a 98 in any of my math classes. I am not happy.

Professor Hanson's lectures can be boring sometimes just because it was very early in the morning Also, he forgets things from time to time, but give him a break. His review sessions before exams are helpful and also do the homework he assigns. It helps! Overall I thought his class was ok, but is rewarding since I put all my effort into it.

Nice man. He gives random quizzes so even though the attendance is not taken, you don't wanna miss the class. Can be a little boring at 9:40 in the morning when he delves into proving theories. I did my homework and did fine in the course. Might depend on the person but I think if you do the homework you will be fine with the tests and quizzes.
