Comment:

Professor Corcoran's GRY 100 is a stereotypical gen ed. Homework once a week, gives out study guides that correlate with the tests, posts all powerpoints online although not all information is listed on them. Attendance is not mandatory, and she follows the class schedule very well. Very easy class, but make sure to know someone else in the class.

What a wonderful woman. I thought I would hate this class, there was a test very soon after the semester started and It was hard, but once you get into the actual GRY it gets really interesting! I feel this class, especially with her, is a great class to take if you want to LEARN about the world. Tests were average, Great professor.

I really liked her. Her lectures were always very interesting. She has opportunities for extra credit and some filler points. The only thing I didn't like was that the exams were difficult. There were a lot of questions like which of the following weren't correct about a location. She is a great teacher, just makes you work.

She is a great teacher. She definitely cares about her job and her students. She is a sweetheart and will help you if you need it. Her class does require studying and attendance is not mandatory but she does count it for points randomly so you should go!! This class is very interesting, but she makes it even better.

Comment:

She really loves what she does! She is super knowledgable and knows what she is talking about. She knows whats on her tests. The lectures aren't always the most interesting, but you have to listen and take notes to do well on the tests. Homework is all on pearson which was easy. Very understanding & can get a decent grade if you put in some effort

She's very nice and her lectures aren't painful to listen to, despite being the whole hour & 15 minutes. I just take good notes in class and do fine on the exams. She gives lots of extra credit as well which is great. And will round grades if you show up to almost every class. Homework is Pearson like lots of classes so it's easy.

She is really knowledgeable and caring and it shows in her teaching. Her test come completely from lecture and the homework. Homework is really easy. Her lectures are really dry and boring but you have to go to class.

She is by far my favorite professor I've ever had. I took geography years ago and I barely passed. I got a high B in her class. She makes it interesting to learn about. Take good notes and you'll get an A if you study them. Quizzes and homework are easy. Shes very understanding and knowledgeable. She offers a good amount of extra credit too!

She's very informed and makes lectures very interesting and understandable. I enjoyed learning about geography because of how passionate she was about it. In order to get a good grade, you must get near perfect on the homework that come straight from the chapters. I studied HEAVILY for the tests because there's so much info. She offers EC to help!

Comment:

Mrs. Corcoran is an amazing teacher and truly loves what she does. There are five tests and one group project. The group project is super easy and can be done by two people. The class is very engaging and you actually learn a lot. You will need to read chapters for definitions and pay attention to the power points, but overall it was an easy A.

Comment:

The best example of mild mannered caring I've ever seen in a Prof. I took her for Geo of Health class and it was interesting. She cares about her material and her students. The books for the class are useful but the only one you need is "pandemics". Show up to lecture, take a few notes and you'll do great and probably enjoy it too.

Dr. Corcoran is an awesome professor! Typically, I don't like Geography, but she made the material a lot more interesting. She is very sweet, and occasionally pushes back deadlines for assignments if she realizes that her students have a busy week. She offers a lot of extra credit, and is very knowledgable about her subject! 10/10!

She is the best! Her power points are fun and she makes things that are going to be on tests very clear. There are online assignments for each chapter but they are easy. There are 3 reflection papers for the class but they are all done over videos that are really interesting to watch.

Professor Corcoran is one of the most caring professors at the university. He wants everyone to succeed in this class and it shows in her PowerPoints. Minus the technically difficulties, Corcoran's lectures are exactly what is on the test and as long as you study the study guides this will be an easy A

Great professor. Makes PowerPoint slides as colorful and interesting as possible. Sometimes plays music before class. Super caring and is willing to talk about things other than geography. Homework for each chapter, but plenty of time to do it. Project at the end of semester, super easy.

5 tests in the whole semester. A couple of map quizzes, but mainly on the exams. Lots of Slides. Her voice sometimes annoys me be you get used to it. All in all, she is a great teacher. Tons of Extra credit. I never used the opportunities, though. Remember to do your homework before the deadline!

Comment:

One of the nicest professors I've ever had at the school. The class is also very simple if you put in any work at all. Good amount of the grade is online homework which is copying answers from the booking or googling the question. Tests can easily be studied for by just reviewing the slides. Make sure you go to class since the slides have blanks.

Corcoran was such a nice professor. She was always calm, collected and organized. I never struggled to understand her material and she was always easy to get ahold of outside of class. She was willing to help and was very personable. I really enjoyed going to her class.

Comment:

She is super sweet and goes over a ton in class. She puts the powerpoint online but not all the information is on there. If you only miss 2 classes she will round your grade up in the end so it pays off to go to class. There is a TON of extra credit. Most of the HW can be found online. Tests will be easy if you take the time to study.
