I took this guy for Statistics and I got a B+, so getting a good grade from this guy is certainly possible. But he doesn't know the material very well, makes tons of mistakes, and at times is very confusing. He has your best interest at heart, and wants to help you out. So taking from him isn't by any means a deathwish. Just be prepared 4 confusion

If you are good at math, you will do well in his class. I feel like people who aren't good at following mathematics probably will get lost in his class. He never really "dumbs it down". So if you struggled with previous math classes, he probably shouldn't be your first choice. but I HIGHLY recommend him if you enjoy math.

Easy Teacher, extremely helpful,very nice and pretty clear. Beware he does talk to the board and he does speak a a little fast. Very goofy too but all the practice problems in class and on the homework are on the test.

great teacher, hard class! I'm horrible at math, and stats is difficult because it uses a diff kind of English. I love that he talks about different careers that stats applies to, so I know what's out there. He's very good at clarifying problems! I like that he does not really follow the way the text teaches cuz his way is waay easier. He's helpful

Nice guy, but definitely not a great teacher. Doesn't fully explain things and makes a lot of mistakes. Sometimes seems like he doesn't know what he's talking about. Pretty tough class, doesn't follow the textbook. Would not recommend.

He is a nice guy and the class is very easy but I hate math and like everyone else said he doesn't talk to the students just the board. I failed because I hate math and couldn't handle the chaotic atmosphere plus I actually need to know this stuff. If you want an easy A and aren't moving to higher math class then this is the class for you.

His class is pretty easy. If you study the previous exams and quizzes you should have a pretty easy time passing them. He also drops some of the bad grades and replaces some at the end so you will probably end up getting a higher grade then you think. The lectures are hard to follow, he doesn't explain just talks like you already know the material.

He is a nice guy, willing to help you and answer your question. But he is not good at teaching. He just wrote everything on the board, keep talking to himself rather than to the class. I was looking for a nice, easy professor because math is my worst subject. I expected the class to be hard, but not almost impossible. Yes, he's nice, but that does NOT make him a good teacher. He is vague and makes a lot of mistakes, and I didn't find having pre-prepared notes easier, because I did not absorb the information. Would not recommend.

Goofy yet useful. People may blame him to be confusing but it's their fault for not asking to clarify his notes. With 4 quizzes, 3 exams, and 4 labs, it may be overwhelming but that's how you learn. Plus, he's willing to help!

VERY disorganized in class. He kept blaming it on using a new book, but since people on here have been saying that for years, I think he's just a lame teacher. He was DEFINITELY more helpful to certain students who asked questions. But whatever, if you ignore his lecture and just do problems from the books and handouts, you can get an A.

He's VERY dumb, his class is well.... boring i would say. I sleep at every class. anyhow his exams and tests are VERY easy, exams are derived from tests, and tests are derived from textbooks questions. YOU GET THE POINT. I got an A+. Just read the book and you will be fine. trust me. THERES NO OTHER PROF LIKE DAVID HAYES DOES. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nice guy, that is willing to help if questions are asked. Do the homework, go to class, and pay attention and you'll be fine. He is very fair and the tests are derived right from the homework or work book. In big tests, you can use a cheat sheet. He's a little goofy but very intelligent.
