Dr. Hill is honestly not a good professor, but you kind of feel bad thinking that because he's a pretty cool guy. I was so lost all semester, and ended up with a B, and that was definitely not a reflection of my performance in the class. He does kind of pick favorites, and that may be why he gave me a B.

If you are taking Hill for Intro to Programming and have no intentions of continuing, you're basically awarded an A. If you are a CS or CiS major, you cover in one semester the content that most any other school covers in a few weeks; be prepared to learn on your own, or you're going to start with a severe handicap. Great person, terrible teacher

His class was tough but he was always willing to answer questions if you ask. Some people think he is rude but he is just being sarcastic. You can retake all the test as many times as you like. Be respectful, ask questions, don't skip class, sand you will be fine.

I took David Hill for Intro. to Programming I and the course was absolutely terrible. I felt terrible for the students that were in there wanting to learn how to program and had to sit and listen to him brag about his never-ending knowledge that never ended up being displayed. I passed the class with almost a 100% only because of prior knowledge.

Can be very confusing. He doesn't explain things Well and most students have to get a tutor. Tries to be funny and ends up being rude to almost all the students. Willing to help outside as long as it's at 7 in the morning on the days he chooses. Nice guy but not a very great professor. I would avoid and not take again

Dr. Hill is by far the best math teacher I have ever had. I really enjoyed the class, and he is a very nice guy! His teaching can be confusing, but if you attempt the homework, skim over the section, and ask questions in class you will do fine. He is really nice outside of class, and offers help no matter the time. He also lets you retake tests.

I have no clue why Dr. Hill is rated so low on this website; he's a very knowledgeable professor who is more than willing to help if you seek him out. He allows you to retake your tests infinitely and basically always extends the homework, so the only way to fail is to be extremely lazy. Wonderful and hilarious man.

Good and smart teacher. Sometimes can talk about a completely different topic in class, which doesn't concern math all. Rarely gives hw. Test can be found hard, gives many word problems, permits retakes as many as u want to keep up ur grade. If you r late for a retake at 7, can offer you tutoring instead, so don't be late! :) his class is alwaysfun

He is a good teacher. He acts like a jerk in the beginning of the term so he weeds out the people unwilling to do work. He makes you work for your grade. All of these bad ratings are from lazy people. Period. He will help you outside of class and let you retake tests as many times as you want until you pass it. Very caring guy, he will help you.

If you are not a serious student, this professor is NOT for you. True story, he says his objective is to do as little work as possible while his students learn by themselves. At the same time, I learned more in this class than I ever have in a math class before. Hate the teacher, but he taught me well.

Dr. Hill is awesome. It took me a while to understand the stuff, but I got it. The retakes help alot, all of the idiots that say that they are way too hard must not be trying or studying at all. His classes are for real college students, not for idiots looking for an easy A.
