I have taken over 30 classes at Ferris and i have had the most trouble in this class. (soc121) with DR. BEHLER. 1/3 of the class is failing. He is so repetitive it will make you sick. It is treated like a 300 level class and you must be ready to hang on every word to pass. Avoid this professor. Nothing in this class is clear or exact.

The criteria for the group projects is unclear, make sure you know every aspect for your topic. Long lectures that can get pretty boring, with no visual examples. You have to take notes while he speaks, so be expected to write a lot in a little amount of time. Obviously loves his job, he is a little quirky, nice person, but I wont take again.

Do not take this class if you have a hard time paying attention or if you are a hands on learner. There is no visual learning, only outlines. You have some group projects that are easy. Only good thing about this class I thought was 5% is added to your final grade for perfect attendance.

Worst class I have ever taken. If you are not an auditory learner, this is not the class for you, all lecture. No visuals and very few group interactions. Very repetitive and stretches things out far too much rather than just getting to the point. Nothing sinks in. Only perk to this class is perfect attendance adds 5% to your final grade.

He's a nice guy, just super repetitive. This might be good for sum, but extremely boring for others. If you go to every class he gives you 5% add to your grade at the end which is nice. Test aren't that bad, and the group projects are super easy.

Great professor, even though he's blind. Don't try to cheat him, or text on your phone or anything, he brings in people to be his eyes. He's funny though, and enjoys teaching. I'm glad I had him for sociology, wouldn't have picked anyone different.

Yes he is blind, but he knows what hes talking about and how to teach! I learned alot and the tests are pretty easy if you take good notes, write down examples, and read what he assigns (which isn't a lot).

This dude is blind, so i took him thinking that I could slack off/play games/read magizines during class, but it's crazy he picks up on all of this stuff, he knows when you come in late, etc. But actually a cool dude, just lectures and then tests are easy. Dont take him thinking you can cheat on the tests, he brings in a proctor to give them.

Well, He doesnt take any excuse for absences, do not take him at 8 am you will have trouble staying awake and getting there. I missed a test completly and still wound up with a C+. easy
