One of my best professors. Johnson's thought process made the difficult material easy to follow. Lectures and notes were extremely helpful. If you can do his "review sheets" with ease, you'll do fine on the exam. Many questions on the exam come directly from the worksheets. Many students didn't like him but I loved him.

The class was tough throughout the semester but I learned a lot. The material is exactly the same as Math 205 but more advanced. He explains the material well but he can sometimes get off track. The homework assignments clarify a lot! Attendance isn't mandatory, but he definitely pays attention to who shows up to the lectures and recitations.

His lectures were useless. He only did proofs of theorems and it was impossible to follow him. I got an A in the course but only because I found video lectures from other professors online.

Couldn't have asked for a nicer teacher. Always seemed to know the material and was incredibly helpful with working with me outside of class. Old school teacher, and you can tell he loves the subject when he teaches. Highly recommend.

The lectures are okay. He's very arrogant and gives you judgmental looks for not magically knowing the material if you try and go to him at office hours, luckily there are plenty of math TA's to go to help for, so just do that. You don't need to do any assigned practice problems to get an A (I didn't at least). Just do the review sheets.

gotta love that ol' johnson. he's funny and does his best with what is, quite frankly, boring material. his tests resemble the review sheets enough that you may go in to the test knowing the answers to some problems (not the method, the literal answer).

Professor Johnson is an acquired taste. Not everyone will like him at first, but after a while, if you're the kind of person who naturally enjoys math, you will really begin to enjoy his lectures. Also, his tests are super easy because they are based entirely off his review sheets.

Johnson's lectures are extremely boring and sometimes unlcear. He gets caught up in simple arithmetic which makes his lessons hard to follow. He is arrogant and has no right to be. Although the tests are pretty fair and comprised mostly of problems similar or identical to the practice tests, his class made me hate calculus.

"Has an attitude that he's high and mighty and everyone else is not on his level." Had him a couple years ago and couldn't agree more. I was in a major where I was doing a BS in the A&S so just needed calc 1. After I did bad on the first exam he told me I should switch majors when to that point and after I got a 3.5 gpa in my major.

So far, I've had him for a couple of weeks and in comparison to the previous Math professor I had, he is extremely helpful. He is also clear with his expectations and a fair professor. If you just put the right amount of effort in his course, you will surely get an A. However, that is just my opinion.

Seems like a friendly guy but is pretty unclear in lecture. It seemed like he spent more time playing with simple arithmetic than teaching calculus, which caused class to become very boring very quickly. Had I not already learned all of the material in high school, the course probably would have been very difficult

Alright in lectures. He gives examples, but sometimes they are not that clear. Seems to go in a roundabout way of explaining things, and takes a while to get to the point. Nice guy though. Nearly always runs over the allotted class time during lectures, which can be annoying if you have a class right after his.

While it's not the end of the world if you get Prof. Johnson, you must be prepared to teach yourself everything. The majority of the time, he is proving why an equation or theorem is right instead of showing how to use it. The tests are a DIRECT reflection of the review sheets, so be sure to know them!

Lehigh may have worse teachers, but I doubt it. In class, he talks constantly without saying anything of value, making note-taking impossible. He makes mistakes all the time, then changes his work without explaining himself. If he explained why 2+2=4, he would take forty minutes, confuse everyone in class and get the wrong answer. DON'T TAKE HIM!!!
