This lady is one of the sweetest, kindest professors I have ever had. Better yet, I actually learned some valuable perspectives from her. I'm so sad to see her retire - it's a shame more students won't be able to experience her teaching. Don't understand the bad comments. She is very clear on her expectations, and a true joy to work with!

She is a super sweet teacher! Very easy to work with and incredibly likable. So sad that she is going away but I do not even get some of the comments below. She is the best art teacher I have ever had and her passion for the subject radiates through her joy in teaching our mostly undergraduate class.

Dr. Montgomery is such a great professor. She really is clear about what is on her tests and on projects. You just have to take good notes and pay attention. She is always willing to help any students and is very understanding about issues that some students face. I definitely recommend her to anyone who really wants to take a good, easy art class!

Very nice and passionate lady. She will always come to class in an positive mood. The only thing I struggled with was the lack of clarity and direction. You usually have no idea what your grade is or what you are supposed to be doing. Not a terrible class, just interesting.

She is not the most clear or organized teacher but she loves what she does. She knows so so much about art and is so willing to help you in developing your art skills. She is really nice and cares if you are nice and care about her class. There are lots of journals but they are fun. Just check the ASUlearn page often. You'll be fine.

To start, she knows what she is talking about, and is not stupid. Having said that, she does go off on a LOT of tangents. Her lessons come from pic folders on her laptop, and typically aren't very organized at all. You really have to sort through what she says because a lot of it isn't stuff she is going to hold you accountable for.

Pretty easy class, as long as you keep up with the stuff she puts online...which can be a lot. She's not always organized and she tends to go back and forth between ideas during lectures. Tests aren't too hard--usually multiple choice based on images and a couple of short essay questions.

This is a terrible class...it is absolutely useless. Nothing she says is clear. She expects waaayyy too much on waaayyy too short of notice. Be prepared to write a 15 page lesson plan at the end of the semester if you take her.

She is TERRIBLE! The class is easy for the most part, but you have to keep your eye on her website all the time. She changes assignments all of the time. Be prepared to hear a lot of useless things about Japan. you will do lots of art projects in class that you wont get time for because she talks so much. She wants her way only too....DONT TAKE HER

I thought she was great. Easy A mostly. You do have to pay attention sometimes because you have to write very few papers. Before tests she gives a study guide, so just memorize pictures and names. Class is semi boring, you just sit there and look at pictures pretty much. If you do the can art project make sure you speak up b/c its part of ur grade

She is a really nice person and really ditzy! she trys to make everything fair and easy but it does not always work. shes not very good at using the computer and yet she posts everything through it. as far as her class goes its really really boring, but if you can make yourself listen and take notes then you will make an A.
