Comment:
Lesley is knowledgeable about analysis, but is not so great at teaching it. His lectures are unclear, he forgets to finish writing things down, he writes chicken scrath instead of making clear and complete equations, etc. His homework keys are incomplete. The exams are difficult. I gave A+ effort and got a C. Would not recommend.

Pretty good professor. Fairly generous grader, with a nice curve at the end of the class. Good about answering questions. Not the most interesting, but that may be more due to the material he teaches than the professor himself. Recommended for "hard" math classes.

This professor is a joke. Maybe because he is retiring and stopped caring. His lectures are very disorganized. Homework bore no resemblance to class material. I did well but only because a group of us copied homework from the only guy who seemed to understand it after lots of brown-nosing.

I took both of my calculus courses with Lesley, it was hard, but it sure beat Carlson, that guy is tough. Lesley also has a computer portion of the course that makes you learn excel; it helps in other arenas later in life.

Races through lectures, and the few examples he gives are often the same as the book. Tests are reasonable though. Homework is due every day and is important for grade. Friendly prof. Not an easy class, but interesting.

Lesley is a nice guy but his lectures are very disorganized. Exams are reasonable. Helpful if you visit him in his office.

This class was alright. I didn't learn a thing. Lesley is a really nice person, but as a teacher he's a little disorganized on the board. Sometimes hard to follow along with his notes. Material hard, but passable. Study study guides!!

He is very helpful in his office but his lectures are mind numbing! He goes all over the board and you have no idea what he's talking about. The book is good and his tests are easy, and the homework is semi-challenging, the only bad thing is lecture.

His lectures he is all over the place, so look at the book. Easy tests with just basic HW problems on them, some defs, and a memorized proof. The material is hard to wrap your brain around, but the application is pretty cake.
