Comment:

He grades lab reports so hard, but makes up for it by giving a decent curve at the end. He expects you to know how to do the lab, and will often get frustrated by questions. He explains everything you need for the report in the beginning of the lab, but has said incorrect things a couple times so don't always trust everything he says

Comment:

Absolutely worst professor I have ever had!!!! All the previous comments are spot-on. He is never in the lab to answer questions or help. All the lab reports are out of 15 points and I do not think he has ever given a 15/15 to anyone in his life! No matter how many hours are spent writing the lab reports- nothing is good enough for professor lloyd.

I took Dr. Lloyd for inorganic chem lab. At the time, I found him to be intolerable. Now, in his Orgo lab, its more enjoyable bcz it seems to be a topic he's more confident and passionate about. I found that being friendly + honest about when you are confused really helps. He gets frustrated with silly questions, but he's really understanding!

I had him for lab last spring. If he was even in the lab for a few minutes, he was forgetful and unhelpful. Asking questions makes you an intolerable burden so stay off his radar. Do NOT go to him for extra help unless you have a few hours to spare.

PAY ATTENTION DURING LECTURE!! Asking questions will put you on his bad side and he will treat you like you are an idiot. But if you are positive during class and you don't let him bother you, then he relaxes around you. But the more you hate him, the worse class gets.

After getting my final grade back, an A, I have to say that it took a lot of work and definite frustration at times(both in the lab and at home). Yet, Dr.Lloyd gave me the grade I wanted and thats a nice reward. He is still not a helpful or caring professor, but at least seems to be a fair grader.

Dr.Lloyd makes it seem like he does the students a favor by being there. I once asked him a question and he simply looked in my face and walked away (outside the lab of course, where he always is). It is impossible to ask him for help because he refuses and puts you down as well. He is horrible!
