Dr. Martin is one of the best profs I've ever had! He makes the course really interesting, and he's got a good sense of humour. It's impossible to find anything to hate about him! He is really nice and friendly, and he makes me want to go to class.

Besides being an fasinating proffesor, an intriuging individual! He has a passion for clinical psychology so inspriring, it made me chose to go further into psychology. He keeps you so interested in the material. & to be honest, I developed a kind of a man-crush on him after taking his class!

Dr. Martin made an otherwise boring course into a pretty interesting one! (and I'm not much into psych) Just make sure you take good notes, attend the lectures and read the textbook font and back by heart and you should do great, although there is ALOT of material. He kind of reminds me of Santa Clause, he's really cute.

Fun class. He tries really hard to make lecture time a great opportunity to supplement the basic textbook stuff which helps when the material gets a little dry. He does expect you to read the textbook front to back but it's actually a really good textbook so it's not all bad. I would definitely recommend him.

i had him for dyadic relations 2460 online. very nice prof however doesn't respond to emails, assignments were easy, the exam was very hard you had to memorize every single detail inorder to do well. lots of reading for this class

THE best prof at the University of Manitoba HANDS DOWN. Insightful, inspiring, real. He provides a safe and accepting class environment to grow. Gets to know students personally. Really listens. An amazing man. Take his Verbal Psych course if you can!

I took Dyadic Relationships with this prof by distance ed over the summer. The assignments were easy but I found the exam to be VERY unfair and I would not recommend this prof for this particular course at all...

Great prof. For a subject that normally comes easy to me, the tests can be alot harder than anticipated, but they are MC. Very helpful, but notes were kind of weird. If he didnt have them posted, u had to take notes...but its sometimes hard to know what exactly to take down..kind of tells stories in b/w notes..lol.overall,great class, great prof.

It's depressing that he is going half-time next year, because he was a fantastic prof. He slips in dry humour that most people don't seem to catch, and he's very informative. He also recognizes you outside of class, which is impressive considering the size of 3460.

Hard tests that require a lot of time and studying to prepare for. Questions straight from the text were fairly straight forward but the questions from his lectures were often hard and unclear. Attending class is important as he gets many of his test questions from lectures and not from the text...

This class was my motivation to go to my Tuesday and Thursday classes. Very interesting, and a genuinely nice professor with some interesting original ideas. I wish I could take this class again! Advice for the tests: he likes to have you list things. If it's a list in the textbook (3 methods, 5 theories, 4 disadvantages, etc) memorize it!

Excellent and interesting course but the exam was a bit of a surprize. Some of the questions were really obscure. You had to memorize little details that weren't stressed on assignments or practice questions. A bit disappointing but a good course nonetheless.

Took this class by DE, very interesting material and seemed rather straightforward....until the exam. It was incredibly hard and seemed to test on obscure facts/figures from the text rather than major themes/theories. Assignments were good and he marked them quickly. Just beware of the exam - memorize EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
