I never showed up to lecture and passed with an A. He was hard to follow along with in lecture because he is all over the place. He posts practice exams and study guides which were helpful to pass the exams. I did a lot of self-studying and found it easier to learn the material on my own (you still need to go to lab!)

Dr. Maynard is a great educator. He keeps you interested and informed. I did not have much interest when i signed up, but I really enjoyed it. I don't think He should talk about evolution though, and make it seem like Creaion is not a possiblity.

Only two exams, 150 points each. Do the extra-credits and you should be ok. It's a lot of reading. He is very nice and his experiment...? well, One class was canceled, he activated the fire alarms. He is a great professor!I do not like science and I got a B+

This guy is awesome. His lectures are fun because he likes to randomly blow stuff up with hydrogen or freeze things with liquid nitrogen and more. He is funny and laid back and wants to help you pass. Definitely recommend.

His class was full of demonstrations but nothing relevent. His study guides were awful did not help with test. I attended almost every class and studied for them and still got a C which is the only time i ever recieved a C! I would not take him if you want a good grade and want to learn anything. He does offer ectra credit which i did

Prof Maynard realizes that NSCI 300 is a capstone class and not everyone is interested in science. With that in mind, he prepares a lecture that highlights the path technology has taken and the unforeseen consequences of scientific advancements. The class is very easy, Idid not attend once after the midterm. Do the extra credit.

Genuinely cares about his students. Seems like a really nice teacher and very knowledgeable. Very Mr. Wizard like and some of his experiments do not work because his chemicals were not fresh. Blows stuff up in class. What could be cooler. A little boring when he lectures and the videos remind me of the twilight zone but cool guy and very funny.

I Had Him As A Lab Instructor And Was The Easiest, Nicest Teacher Ever. He Really Knows His Stuff, Thats Why He Is Department Chair. If You Have A Question He Will Answer It. (NO QUESTIONS ASKED) If You Have The Chance Take Him As A Teacher Is A Real Fun Guy.

Cool class, cool guy. Made the class fun with his 'experiments'. Not an EASY A class, but to get it you just have to study/memorize. Read the book and memorize the powerpoints, don't rely on the study guide alone!!
