Thinks way too highly of himself and it impedes the learning process, tends to patronize you if you ask a question he doesn't think is a "good one". He's organized and lectures alright but couldn't stand interacting with him because of his massive ego.

Mutimer is not a great professor, but he is an adequate one. His lectures tend to spark pretty fierce debates at times, so he must be doing something right. In spite of that, his teaching style is fairly dry and sardonic. One gets the impression he's not interested in being there at all. Still, a very smart guy who imparts the facts, nothing more.

Prof is clear, posts PPs & lecture notes = SO useful & helpful if u miss class. Heavy readings, separate readings for lectures & tutorials = double the work. Good at presenting introductory material in a critical non-traditional light which then stretches u to think critically possibly too quickly. Felt i needed 4th yr knowledge in an intro course.
