Dr. Rinear is a wise teacher who has decades of teaching under his belt as an actor and sailor. His stories are genuine and fascinating. If you are a good listener you will enjoy the class. If you are self righteous and disregard his help or advice you will not enjoy the class.

self-obsessed ass. he is not well-regarded by peers at other schools for a reason: while his analysis in general is quite good, when he's wrong he is very, very wrong and absolutely, angrily insistent that no sane person can disagree with him. ignore his anecdotes, speak when spoken to, and if you are an English major, drop the class. immediately.

Dr. Rinear is an interesting professor who has great stories, but he seems to control the discussion with his stories rather than letting the class lead it. Its crucial that you read for the class. He assigns 3 short papers that he grades easily (if you write well), but his final is a 20 page paper that takes way too long for a freshaman seminar.

The man does not like english majors. That is quite clear. He also has a pretty bad attitude, but hey, who needs that, right? I would take his class only if you're a drama major and like to suck up. And...that's it, really.

Pretty much the best prof at Trinity hands down!! This class is some reading, but we had only two papers, and two tests (mid-term and final). I wouldn't take this class if your not interested in drama. Save room for the majors please. Plus its hard enough, you can find better common crics than this if thats all you want.

This guy is the biggest badass at Trinity. He lives the coolest life and tells the sweetest stories. His GNED class on storms is interesting and easy. But if you suck at writing he will bend you over. A tru Baller.

Highly dissapointed with this class I withdrew because he was so unclear and catered to his theatre majors only - doesn't not teach in a manner condussive to learning-- avoid him unless you have to take him!
