Very nice guy, very into mathematics so it will seem like he's going fast unless you raise your hand and ask questions. If you don't know math well, you should use your school's tutoring help, and ask many questions in class, since other students are too shy to do so, but if you don't ask questions he can assume you understand the material. Only need to show up for tests. We had 3 tests and a final worth double the points. Only use scantrons, don't have to show your work. I got a B and I am HORRIBLE in Math, and I am still a high school student. I bombed the first 2 tests and still got a B. he is really a pretty nice guy.

God Bless him. Right winged conservative older guy. Not hard to at least get a C because he grades on a curve, and I mean sometimes it adds 20% to your grade. He's kind of cranky, but I found him amusing. He will help you, he just comes across unapproachable.

Well he never really seemed to teach u anything in this class. he stood there and then would go on about something else and 20 minutes later come back to what he was teaching. Always should us how to do stuff on calculaters and never let us us them. Basically if you are not good at math dont take this class.

This guy is a joke, when word come out of his mouth, its like hes speaking Esperanto (no longer existing language). He spend the whole time talking about using calculators but wont let you use it on the test. This class would be easy if he knew how to teach.

I call him the Math Whisperer. Nice man. Loves questions, explains until you understand, no such thing as a stupid question. He's sarcastic and self effacing some people don't like that, but a fun class. Great professor.

If you don't want to major in anything that requires math, this is perfect. The instructor gives you every edge he can. He grades on a huge curve,and lets you use notes and calculators on the test. He seems a little gruff, but he is really OK. Stick it out and you will at least get a C. I am bad at any kind of math and got a B.

Very hard to rate. If you do well with calculators and math in general you will ace this class but you wont learn a thing. I had no clue what he was talking about and was lost. It's NOT worth taking him. He is very unhelpful and rude to students. He is smart and knows his stuff but is a horrible teacher. He even makes fun of students. Stay away!

Hard to rate. Even though he doesn't actually teach you anything, it's still really easy to get an A in the class. just show up occasionally and study the night before the few tests he gives (he always tells what's going to be on the test pretty accurately). He is pretty rude and impatient but if you can bear it and want an easy a, take his class.

This is a hard one to rate. He knows what he is talking about, but I'm afraid he really shouldn't be teaching anymore. He has difficulty understanding student's question and his answers aren't clear. Although, he liked me, he was rude to some of the other students and lost patience. I'd suggest take someone else!

I had a basically a 100 average because he lets us use notes of the test. DO NOT TAKE HIM. It isn't worth it. If you need to actually learn the material you won't learn a thing. If you are looking for an easy A his lectures are incompressible and will leave you frustrated. I think he has stopped caring about teaching the class.

this class was completely retarded and a waste of time. coming from someone who has taken AP stats before and passed this class will not help you at all it is all calculator you dont really need to do any work at all. it was an easy a for me but he is a complete jerk and loves to give you a hard time. i recomend taking another professor

math 15, statistics, was a difficult class. i am not sure why the educators want us to take it in the first place. this professor loves to argue and comes off as being extremely self-righteous. i feel like i wasted a whole semester's worth of learning. if possible, avoid this professor at all costs.

Well if you are planing on taking a higher stats course, DO NOT take this class. It is all Calculator, and in your higher stats courses, you will be very glad you didnt take this class and recieved a better understanding, not just 'this is how you do it on a calc.'

Great teacher really teaches you the material yet he is realistic in his expectations as he allows the calculator on the tests and does not expect you to remember all the stupid formulas or how to do it all by hand. You can use notes on the tests as well. Nice Guy- Take him and you won't believe how well you do in math

Look, just show up regularly, take good notes on how to apply the TI83 programs to the text and you got your A. The programs will solve the problems for you so it is VERY important you fully understand them. You will not do well if you skip alot of class. Dr. R is a good hearted guy who likes telling corny jokes, so try to find the humor in them.

Easy A, but you won't learn statistics. If you don't ever plan to need it again - got for it. If you plan to use this information in future classes or life, find another teacher. All you learn in this class is how to use 1 specific calculator. He even downloads all the programs you need for you.
