He is unclear when he talks. Writes cursive on the board which is impossible to read. Spends 30-60 min on average just explaining the lab which is exactly what is written in the lab book. Waste of time but necessary for physics grade.

A nice old man but a terrible teacher. Brilliant, but speaks at an intellectual level that is difficult to understand. Bad at clarifying questions and explaining why things work the way they do. Tests are designed to throw everything at you and really test you rather than straightforwardly seeing what you know.

Dr. Savickas is a very nice man, but i found it very difficult to understand him and how he would get solutions. His notes are written by one hand and immediately erased by the other, he is very soft spoken and normally faces the board when he talks, making it very difficult to understand him. Try to transfer teachers if possible, or be ready .

DO NOT TAKE HIS ASTRONOMY COURSE. BY FAR THE WORST TEACHER I HAVE HAD IN MY YEARS OF SCHOOLING.SAYS EQUATIONS ARE SMPLE BUT TEACHING TO STUDENTS WITH NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICS AS IT IS DESCRIBED AS A 101 COURSE. REPEAT. DO NOT TAKE. You are Welcome

Yes he is not the best teacher. To go great in his class I would suggest you do the fallowing. Never miss a class. Copy all the notes. Do all the homework. Go to the SI sections, and STUDY. also not to mention pay attention. If you lose track during class it is very easy to get lost. Ask him to repeat, he will be glad to. He is not so bad.

I was SO excited to take Astronomy but the professor was terrible. Copied his own notes onto the board and never answered questions. The quizzes and tests were impossible because he never taught anything. Didn't use Manhattan or give his email address. Only good part was looking at the moon and Saturn in a telescope for extra credit.

I am writing this while in his class because he is oblivious of everything. He is the worst teacher I have ever had. He is so old he thinks he is a history teacher half the time.

The worst teacher I have ever had. This professor is so old that it seems as if he does not know he is teaching a class. All he does is talk to the board and do problems by himself. He makes you memorize equations from day 1 for unfair tests. Switch out if you get him for a teacher.

Terrible professor. All he does is examples and doesn't bother to teach the material. He talks to the board so you can barely hear him. When you ask a question he is very unclear with his answers. Tests are unfair because he doesn't give a formula sheet and you can't use any sort of "programmable calculator." He also doesn't believe in reviews.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS!!! He knows what he is talking about, but can't teach it. Can't read his notes, never uses the book, and doesn't answer questions well. Taking this class... Worst decision EVER!!! Same goes for PHYS 134.

WORST EVER! He does not use manhattan, he does not provide a syllabus nor his email, and you do not know his office hrs unless you ask. You cant read his writing, and if you participate and get it wrong he will make sure you feel stupid. I stayed after for help and told him I had a hard time remember formulas and he told me to get over it.

he is the worst teacher ever, you cant read his writing on the board(cursive). he mumbles so you cant hear him, this class is only good if you took ap physics in high school and know everything you need. you wont learn anything in his class. switch out of his class and take anyone else. and these comments are not from kids who failed his class.

HORRIBLE. He doesn't giveyou a textbook, and he tests on the most ridiculous things. He doesn't teach anything, and he mumbles under his breath with vague pictures to illustrate what he's trying to say. Don't take him unless you absolutely have to.

easy class if you have any background in physics, strait up grading 3 test and labs and an exam quizzes don't count but he still gives them as an assessment. just try to pay attention and not think to hard and you'll do fine.
